This Is a Very Strange and Disturbing Movie

This Is a Very Strange and Disturbing Movie. It's well made and acted. However, the topic is about a young, serial killer/rapist, who is released from prison and meets another very damaged young person, who wants to use his "services" because she doesn't feel loved. There's no rainbow ending. The convict achieves real feelings; that's the only bright side. The rest is constant sadness and tragedy.

The detective tries to explain how the criminal feels when committing the crimes. The explanation makes no sense, and there's no reasoning given for the origins of his criminal desires. In contrast, the girl's life is laid out in plain view. No explanation needed there: evil stepdad, damaged mom. This movie is a psychiatrist's dream.

Pseudo intellectual crud

Really? A young girl watches a young man strangle another girl, have sex with her corpse, and dispose of the body in a river, then later learns that he executed his parents and falls in love with him? Can I meet this screenwriter's agent?

Russell Crowe is a very good actor who couldn't save this script. Perhaps if the voice over were omitted, then one's own thoughts to impose some meaning on this faux psychological nonsense.

What did I "use this product for"? For entertainment while ironing clothes. There wasn't much power in it, not really any suspense, and no resolution.

BORING DESPITE THE PRETENSION

This is a film devoid of real meaning, despite having a smidgen of mystery. Two of the main characters are psychos which does not make this film worth watching. Only two stars because of the absence of any actual interesting action which is not the result of the muddled lunacy of these characters.

Who writes this kind of script. This was a really, really bad movie, complete waist of time. Some good actors, but terrible script. Don't be dumb and waste your time like I did. Read the newspaper or something instead.

Good Unusual Story

Drama about a detective trying to prevent a young, burgeoning serial-killer from continuing to kill. Unusual story. It isn't exciting but it's interesting and worth seeing.

I have hope... Hope that I will find a movie that I will like

I like action and violence but this movie is none of that. I saw guns but there was no shooting; I like shooting.

It's like a junior high film project.
