If you're like me, and only watched this show because of Polly Holliday, you'll complete your collection with this season. 40 years later, I'm still dumbfounded as to how this series continued without her.

I remember watching this show as a very young kid and reruns for years. I wanted something to watch that reminded me of easier times. I honestly don't understand what I liked about this show back then. I gave it the rating because I remember it one way and it didn't live up to it watching it now. I can see where it touches on some topics that were not positive in the day, but are handled better now, but as the seasons move along those topics are no longer discussed and it is about trying to force laughs.

One of the good old shows, that still manages to please.

I love this series! Even after Polly Holliday left as the waitress Flo it was still a great show. I just hope that the rest of the 9 seasons that this show aired will eventually become available.
The video quality is very good, for SD.
It would be nice if the captioning was proofed a bit better. Some of the dialog is totally misrepresented, like Mel's famous 'Stow it!' showing up as other than it should.

This was a great show as a kid and even now as an adult. I gave Season 4 only 4 stars due to Flo leaving the show. This show isn't very good without Flo in the mix. It is my understanding that both Polly and Diane left due to Linda being hard to work with. My response to Linda....Kiss my grits!
