Rob Petrie is the head writer for the television sketch comedy, the Alan Brady Show. Rob must balance his New York City work life with his New Rochelle home life that includes his wife, Laura, and their son, Ritchie. Although content in her roles as housewife and mother, on occasion, Laura aspires to return to her former life as a dancer.

    With Rob's dentist, Jerry, away at a convention, Rob is forced to see another dentist after breaking his tooth on a chicken bone. Rob eventually suffers pangs of guilt for letting another dentist, one he finds superior to Jerry, work on his teeth, and feels he must do all he can to avoid letting Jerry find out.

great show, but only 6 episodes?

season 5 is the best.
some episodes are a study in how 1960's women are viewed.
