The structure of this book is different from the other two in the series; it is written from two different points of view: Vi’s and Ryn’s. As the two reencounter, Ryn tries to help Vi remember that she is a guardian and that she was in love with him.
Can Ryn help Vi remember? Can the world be saved from Lord Draven? Will the prophecy be filled? The pace is quick and there are lots of new characters and locations to keep you entertained.
This book is the most heart wrenching we’ve seen in the Creepy Hollow series. Violet had experience so much pain and loss that she feels she couldn’t possible cope. She loses not only her memories, but herself. Violet is softer living Underground with the Reptscillians. She has a family now, a community to protect and accept her. She becomes a new person by learning about her past from the Reptscillians.
When Ryn shows up, he’s devastated. He feels betrayed and hurt and angry. The two had finally come together, overcoming such a charged past, that Violet choosing to forget about all the good- in addition to the bad- pierces his heart. But through Violet’s memory loss, we see Violet and Ryn connecting in a completely new way, where Ryn unabashedly pursues Violet and helps her reconnect her present to her past.
Despite to overabundance of “Chosen Ones” and “Prophecy fulfillment” tropes that exists in fantasy genre, I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline used here. During the quest, we meet many new character, all of whom are engaging, lively, and beautifully connect with characters we already know and love. I also appreciated that while Violet wasn’t the “Star of the high land” who could stop Draven, she is integral in fulfilling the prophecy.
War is upon the Fae realm, destruction, devastation and loss. So much pain and suffering. Vi takes a potion to forget and just does that. Forgets everything, her love, her friends, her existence and has no idea who she is. Remembers her name and that is all. She knows there is a war and the bad guys name is Draven. She has no recollection of knowing him and how that came about.
She runs into Ryn, her love, and doesn't remember anything, including growing up with him. This potion is strong and everything she has ever cared about has been wiped clean from her mind.
As she gets to know him, she develops feeling for him. They fight side by side and it feels familiar to her. When Uri creates a potion to reverse the forget potion nothing happens and they think the potion has failed. We discover that the potion works when Vi and Ryn are kissing and she feels love. Everything comes back to her in a flood of emotions and she passes out.
Such a wonderful and adventurous series! Your mind will soak up everything like a sponge and you will crave the adventure~ I can not express how amazing and well written this series is~

Book #3 of the Creepy Hollows series
This book is the conclusion of this series. There will be no spoilers. I do not think this book is a stand alone and the series should be read in order. With that being said, this final book in the series was pretty good. Almost all of my questions were answered by the end and there are even several twists and turns that add to the plot which I found to be great. A few parts of the story were very slow thus why I couldn't give it a full 5 stars. I do however think it's a good way to end the series and the author did a very good job writing all around. There are very few typos (hardly noticeable) and the characters were of course were full of action and emotion. The one question I still had by the end was about Nate but I guess it will never be answered now that the series is over. All and all a good young adult read. 4 out of 5 stars

The Faerie War was a little harder for me to get into than the previous two books in this series. A part of me was dying to find out what was going to happen but with Violet's memories of everything gone I found it harder to get into as I just wanted the old kick-ass Vi back. Saying that once I got used to this new memory-less Vi I still loved her. She was different but still the same Vi that I loved from the previous books. The more I read the more I loved and I couldn't believe what was happening with the new big bad villian.
Nate... what the freaking hell Nate. I get that Vi hurt your feelings but seriously??? That is no excuse to do what you did. Considering I really liked Nate in the first book, I started to dislike him a lot in book 2 but after this one??? Yeah I hate him. I spent the majority of this book just wishing he would be killed already. I feel slightly bad for him but still hate him. Stupid Boy!!!!
Ryn.... oh be still my heart! I adore Ryn. He is officially one of my all time favourite characters ever. He's amazing and he was so much more amazing in this book. Once he found out about Vi's lack of memories he was devastated but he seen became determined to make her fall back in love with him *swoon* He is totally the best.
The Faerie War was an explosive and amazing finale to Vi and Ryn's story in the Creepy Hollow series. This is without a doubt now one of my all time favourite series and I am so excited to read Calla's story in the next 3 books and as much as I want to devour book 4 and 5 right this second (and they are waiting on my bookshelf ready) after the book 2 cliffhanger I am waiting for book 6 to be released so I can binge read Calla's story as I did Violet's.
The Faerie War was phenomenal and I cannot recommend the Creepy Hollow series enough. It was utter perfection and one I know I will re-read again and again. Definitely one for the favourites shelf. I adored every moment of it.
"It was about growing up together. It was about knowing your fears and dreams. It was about forgiveness. It was about making you laugh and being there when you cried. It was about knowing that even if we lived for centuries, I'd never get tired of having you at my side."
the characters were really good, and I felt like i knew them from book 1, though there are still some surprises.. In many trilogies i am left feeling short changed at the end; this was not the case with this one. I think it was wrapped up wonderfully, everyone and everything where it should be.
The way the series progressed was excellent, and with this final book I thought the memory loss was a great twist. I would love to see these as films!!
