The archaic use of language and the sloooow developing plot lines make reading this a chore more than an enjoyable last time. These 3 books could have been condensed into 1 and not missed a narrative beat.
I will take a break before deciding to continue on this torturous journey.
I am going to stop here and just say this series appears to have hit bottom. I am going to try to keep reading but I suspect I have lost $12.00 for books I will not read. Mr. Heppner, why in the world did you stray off from the excitement of Books 1 and 2? If there could be a "recall" in books the way they do some cars......your book would certainly need a recall for a complete over haul!
I enjoyed them, hence the reason why I purchased all three. There is enough in the Universe that is the setting for these books for a number of additional books if Vaughn Heppner is sufficiently motivated. I am a bit interested in the additional capabilities of the Lost Starship from the Adoks that haven't been revealed yet but presumably exist. I assume this will be explained in any additional books, if any.
There you have it an entertaining read, that took me through 3 books. You really can't ask for much more.
Nevertheless, a superb basic science fiction adventure that all can enjoy. The use of words that I needed to look-up their definition kept my interest peaked and I learned something new with each reading. The history lessons of old earth were very appreciated too!!!
grüß dich Gott, Vaughn Heppner!!!
A science fiction creative writing job well done (again)!!!

The series isn't over and I look forward to the next instalment. I just hope the author 95% of the book on the buildup forgetting that he's still got to write about the fight with the Boss and end up muddleling through it.
Overall a good book and a good series. Well worth a read.
Also clones and cyborgs and many characters are either spies or acting under mental compulsions.
Even when killed, characters may either only appear to have been killed, or escape or are clone or cyborg doppelgangers.
With some character development and emotion and love interest.
Lots of Space-Opera-type engrossing action and a great read.
This one could run and run-can't wait.
Get the books, they're genuinely great.
