I fell in love with Adam Miles and Jacob (Jake) Dean in book one, The Dom Who Loved Me. They were hard and soft opposites who were a team in every way, including both being Doms in D/s ménage relationships. They didn’t have a permanent sub but were always looking for the perfect woman. They were former Special Forces who were working for McKay-Taggart Security Firm.
Serena Brooks was an erotic romance writer. She currently had a stalker who was escalating but the police and her ex-husband didn’t believe her and thought she was trying to get PR for her books. Her agent hired McKay-Taggart to keep her safe and find her stalker.
I loved all main characters. They each had their own role and fit perfectly. They were a mixture of beautiful, funny, sarcastic, intense, brooding, strong and creative. The storyline was multi-faceted with the development of D/s relationships, hashing through all past baggage and sorting through a suspenseful theme. The book was a little longer than necessary but it was written and developed well creating a quick page turner experience.
Blake continued to develop the strong cast of secondary characters providing continued interest in the rest of the series. I’m also hopeful that Bridget and Chris will get their own stories. For now, the mysterious and cynical Liam is up next in A Dom is Forever.
Serena is a successful author of steamy BDSM-flavored romance novels. One of her fans objects to a recent plot and becomes abusive. The emails escalate and she knows she must hire protection. No one but her publisher takes it seriously. McKay-Taggart is hired with Adam and Jake as her bodyguards. These guys share everything and are over the moon to see menàges in the lovely divorcee's library. When things among them heat up, they are astonished by what she has learned from the Internet. (She has been too busy to date.) Of course it isn't always smooth sailing for our three passionate adventurers. Wit, excitement and a white-knuckle climax. They become (and remain) series favorites.
Although it hurts while reading, and we may hate her for it, Lexi puts these characters through hell so they come out the other side stronger and willing to take the risk to be happy.
I'm not afraid to admit I cried while reading this book. I also laughed/snickered, got hot under the collar and was guessing up till the end for who the stalker/crazy guy was. Lexi has a way with words and quickly became one of my favorite authors shortly after this series began (although this is my 1st review it's my 3rd time reading the book). The books never get old and the characters are always bringing something new. I never want it to end.
Serena Brooks a bestselling author of erotic fiction. She is good, she knows how to write a happy ending. Now divorced and totally alone with the exception of maybe three friends. She now has a stalker but no one believes her, the cops think she is staging this on her own and now she has no where to turn, she can only turn to the two bodyguards that are watching her.
Two men in search of love.
Adam Miles and Jacob Dean are halves of a whole. These two have spent their entire life looking for a woman who can handle both of them. They are different as day and night. Adam is the playful and caring lover, Jacob is the possessive and loving Dom. Adam was sure she was it, Jacob's past comes to haunt him and he is suspicious, and it takes him a while, then things get blown out of proportion and they almost loose the chance in being happy.
Meanwhile the stalker is still around and still escalating and is determined more then ever to get Serena. Things get hated and well fro you to find out you will just have to read it, great story, full of action and a lot of other stuff
I read on my Kindle and usually look for books that are at least 200 pages, any less and usually plot lines are missing. Lexi hits the right spot with a wide cast and series where you want the next book and still fall in love when you read about your favorite couples and what they are doing in future books.
This is a don't miss series.

Continuing the series with Adam, Jake and Serena we enter a world of stalkers as Serena is threatened by an unknown enemy and the two ml take on the task of keeping her safe.
There is comedic relief, some tears and plenty of hot sex.
Learning the backstory of the two men and continuing the McKay Taggart saga is an absolute pleasure.
Love the Masters and Mercenaries books to bits and I highly recommend them to new readers.
This is the tale of an author of erotic menage suspense stories, who is being stalked. She enlists the help of the MCkay-Taggart security services, specifically Jake and Adam, whom we met in the first book.
What happens next is a story full of twists, of suspects, of misunderstandings and trust issues. A story that has moments of hot and steamy sex, and of escalating tensions.I really enjoyed this.

My description perhaps makes this story seem rather corny, and yes I was thinking, 'yeah right, menage writer just happens to be guarded by the menage pair from the agency' but the book works well. The imagination in the plot is impressive, when stunts from her books start happening to scare her I wasn't expecting some of it at all.
Jake and Adam drew my attention in the first book of this series. They always work together and they know each other so well that they have non verbal conversations which no one else understands. A few looks between them and they know what the other is thinking. They are hilarious together, a great double act. Jake is rather bitter and wary of being conned by a woman but Adam is a romantic who truly believes they'll find their perfect woman. They are adorable together, I couldn't help but love them, even when they when they didn't believe Serena.
This author, in my opinion, is similar to Kaylea Cross and Cherise Sinclair. As in their books, we meet a group of people and each person is then the focus of their own book in the series; each book has it's own suspense plot but underlying the whole series there is a deeper running plot which we gradually learn about but isn't resolved until the end. The plots twist and turn continually leaving you unsure who is right, whether the mark is innocent.
I definitely will be reading the next book.
