My favorite Animorph tales are the first ten. Much like Goosebumps, they get repetitive and campy after a while. Animorphs is a great series, and this story follows the young bunch along their path while it's still interesting. I'm not the only one that feels this way, my daughter loves these books but could only get through the first 10.

This particular story is centered around dreams that Cassie and Tobias have, and finding meaning in these dreams.

OK, so.... a scholastic based series that has 54+ books in it, each ~150pp. sounds boring, right? Not. My 10 year old son turned me on to these books and I must say, they are very enjoyable. They are not high brow, nor terrible. They are not excessively complex and intriguing (like Harry Potter) but they are not disappointing and inconsistent (like the Alchemist series). They do have a lot of grammatical errors (like the Maze Runner series) but somehow, it works (unlike the Maze Runner series). Overall, I recommend for kids who like series, science fiction, magic powers and saving the earth.

She's 7 but a very advanced reader - this series is an easy read for her (although it seems aimed at 9+), but the writing style, fast-paced action, and interesting characters keep the Animorphs series on her "fun reading" list. The Message was the one she picked to do her final class book report project on.
