One of my favorite books! My toddler son loved it and I think one of the greatest
Things about this book is the repetition (toddlers thrive off repetition!). The illustrations from the original are greatly transferred into a thick board book. It’s the full version (not an abridged version like other books that are made into board books).

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Bigger than expected (in a good way), beautiful illustrations. The exterior is squishy and will damage easily, mine came with a dent. I won't worry about exchanging it as I see it easily getting more over the years, due to it being pillow-y and not a hard cover.

As a former Professor of Children's Literature now retired, I promised my Great Grandchildren at birth, that I would provide them each with 10 age and interest appropriate books each year. The Napping House was one of 20 starter board books for my two newest Greats! I loved it as a Professor and hope my babies will enjoy it as well.

Believe it or not, our eye doctor recommended this book to us! The minute we got home from his office, , I checked on Amazon.com and sure enough, there it was. I ordered one, which I thought I would keep for myself (I collect all children's books that have a reference to "Granny" because that's what I am to our grandkids). I figured I'd just read it to the little ones when they came to visit. The first one I read it to (4 years old) liked it so much that he took it home with him, and I had to order another one for me! Now I'm anxious to order the sequel. Our oldest granddaughter is a kindergarten teacher, and I can't wait to show it to her. Odds are that she'll want one for herself to share with her students. What a delightful little book.

We got this as a gift for our little guy and loved it so much we bought one for a granddaughter. We tried to find the flea on every page as a game. Very cute book.

Used this book in my 1 year old daughters sign language class. We are able to read the book and practice a lot of her signs with the book.
It's a fun read and she loves reading it every night.
The repetitiveness is great for her but I'm probably going to have to take a break with reading it.
Overall it's a fun book and there's a lot of learning opportunities in the book.

Our home loves this so much we named our cottage The Napping House. Read the words or just linger over the rich illustrations. Timeless and amusing.

This is an awesome book. The illustration and the content are unique and fun. We act it with my son + his stuffed animals. He loves it.
I had to return a copy because it was too small. They easily accepted the return, refunded me and didn’t ask for the book. I am going to order another one rightaway.

Should have realised that it's a BIG book!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 15, 2017
It's a good story but I didn't really take in that it was a large book! Much too big to hold comfortably and read to one child; it's fine for a teacher to read to a class.

Highly amusing for a toddler, though I feel the illustrations could have been a little colourful!

Great story for little ones. Everyone ends up sleeping on top of eachother but then one they each wake eachother up through fright, typical of a household of people!
