Great reading for babies ( and their parents)

As a former Professor of Children's Literature now retired, I promised my Great Grandchildren at birth, that I would provide them each with 10 age and interest appropriate books each year. The Napping House was one of 20 starter board books for my two newest Greats! I loved it as a Professor and hope my babies will enjoy it as well.

Bought the book new for a baby shower, the pages were bent, scratched, sticky and frayed. I’ve requested a replacement and am hopeful.

The story itself is so cute and fun so my review is not about the story itself, but the condition of the books condition.

we are always looking for bedtime books and this one came highly recommended by a friend but I am not a fan-the story says nothing and the ending gets exciting instead of relaxing towards sleep-the art work is nice but this book is not for us

I am an avid reader and am trying to instill this in my son. I purchased this book because the ratings were extremely high. However, once I opened this book, I was quite disappointed. It goes on and on and is not very rhythmic; in fact, my 2 and a 1/2 year old son told me that he did not like the book.
