Season 4/Bring On Romance and Excitement

So many new storylines and characters. The first two episodes have provided plenty of fodder for the writers. Especially like putting Nolan into situations where he can be a calming voice and steady hand for other characters. Hoping he gets a steady, dependable "significant other" this season. Just watched episode 6, one of the best. Bringing in an admirable officer like the retiring McGrath to balance the negative, poor quality image of low life officer Smitty is good move. Really admire this cast, crew and all the folks who put this show together.

I didn't want to like this show

I've enjoyed all of Nathan Fillion's work, but I wasn't sure I'd like this. There are enough police procedural shows out there, and I'm tired of the genre. I also realize that the star is getting a bit long in the tooth, too - well, he's not Captain Reynolds anymore, is he? But the script includes that. And frankly, after one or two episodes, I was hooked. I like the characters; their personal lives don't seem to be soap operas, and there have been only one or two episodes that were clunkers (in my opinion). I love this show.

They really do a great job with this series.

This cast is really great together. It is a difficult thing to write a police drama in these times and this one does it very well. They are walking a tenuous line and I think they doing a good job of it. I applaud the effort and the entire cast has great chemistry. I started watching this only because of Nathan, but the whole cast has won me over. I really like seeing cast members from Nathan's previous shows on episodes too.

Love the show for Chenford, but also for all characters

Most people started watching this show because of the Chenford ship(I did) but I grew to love all the characters for how different and lovable they are. Love Thorsen I hope he is a series regular.

The show is turning into a police version of the Young and Restless
Some people, from their comments, appear to like this show as it is. Personally I much prefer it to be what I thought it was going to be, a police procedural with a variety of characters, with Nolan as the focus. It now has a lot of inter personal relationship issues being the primary focus with some solid police actions thrown in. This focus misses it for me. Unfortunately, this appears to be the focus of other Dick Wolf productions. I just prefer to see more police activities and way less inter personal relationship issues.
