The Silver Thief: The Cycle of Galand, Book 2 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Dante Galand has cured the sickness that trapped him on the Plagued Islands. Now it's time to leave. And kill a priest.
The target is Gladdic of Bressel. Gladdic, who executed Dante's friend, the pirate Captain Twill. Who all but enslaved the Plagued Islands. And whose visions of empire are far from over.
But Gladdic is trained in both ether and nether - and a darker magic than Dante has ever known. He's the most dangerous foe Dante has faced. And if Dante falls, so will an entire kingdom.
Set in a USA Today best-selling world, The Silver Thief is the second book in the Cycle of Galand.

We return to Dante and Blays, fresh off the islands, as they discover that a corrupt priest in Dante's homeland has moved on to a new land, one that our intrepid heroes (though they wouldn't call themselves that...) feel compelled to follow him to. In this new land, they discover that Gladdic has raised a dark power, one that Dante cannot fathom, one that has never been seen before--or so they think--and that this new power is pure darkness, and endlessly hungry for bloodshed...
We rejoin Dante and Blays as they seek to assist the people of the Collin Basin, form new alliances, and look to topple the awe-inspiring power of the shadowy creatures Gladdic ranges against them. Time is not on their side, nor is the might to combat the half-corporeal Andrac.
Edward Roberston delivers a new entry in an epic fantasy adventure that makes you feel like you're there, watching alongside Dante as his powers continue to grow, and Blays, who's developed a few new abilities of his own...
While the writing doesn't always seem as sharp as the Breakers series The Cycle of Galand (and Arawn) deal with themes that the Breakers series doesn't touch.
What happens after death, the importance of history, and what happens when people of conviction and zeal clash with each other.
Robertson introduced Raxa in this book, a prodigy thief, and I hope that this character is continued in the next book.
Highly recommended series.

The new character and story line are a great contrast to the adventure's of Dante and Blays, it add's the usual suspension (if sometimes annoyance) to finishing a chapter and having to wait until the chapter later to find out what happened.
As a now avid reader of this author and big fan of the previous trilogy I highly recommend this book and hope it gets the recognition it deserves.
