A good scientific research but a boring reading
Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2019
I purchased this book based on a friend's recommendation, in response to recent trend of legalized recreational marijuana, because there is a chapter in the book talking about the problem. A few chapters into the book, I'm getting very bored. I have advanced degrees, so I'm not a stranger to scientific researches, but this is not what I expected to read from a best selling book, and I'm not interested in biological researches. This book would have been a good PhD thesis on adolescence brain developments, but not a good book where parents seeking advices. I skimmed through majority of the sections of the book, where it talks mostly about biology. If I would condense the useful suggestions that a parent can use, it wouldn't be more than a page of paper. You would be better off googling "best ten advices to parents of teenagers" than purchasing this book.
