Totally Different Season One
Verified purchase
I watched The Tick for the first time around 18 months ago; it was amusing. Yesterday I wanted to show it to a friend, so I paid (again) for a series I'd already paid for and discovered a totally different Season One. The actor who plays the Tick is the same as before, but whoever plays Arthur is now a different actor. The plots are utterly different, the characters likewise different from the previous Season One. Nowhere on the Internet can I find any reference to this totally different Season One; all plot summaries and references are to the Season One I remember seeing 18 months ago. And frankly, the original Season One from 2017 was superior to the version currently available on Amazon.

Hilarious!

I love this show! Great comedy! I don't understand why it only lasted one season. Another film company has made a Tick series that is absolutely stoopid! It doesn't compare to this one at all, yet I think they are in the third season. If you want good comedy like the original Tick cartoon of 50 years ago, this one season with Patrick Warburton as the Tick is the one to watch. I have a feeling it will become a cult classic. With characters like Bat Manuel, it is a scream every minute. Well-written and acted!

One of the FUNNIEST Shows Ever Made!

This series was just ONE season then Amazon went ahead and recast the series and shot it a second time but that second run series is nowhere near as funny as this one season is. Promise! Watch this one first, then watch Amazon's version and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Good but could definitely be better!

Through 5 episodes and enjoy it enough to keep watching, but could definitely be better. The most lacking part is action sequences. Call me crazy, but I thought Superhero movies/shows were supposed to have "good guy vs bad guy" action in them! While there is a little, there should be more. As far as the acting and writing for the show, I think it is fine. Going to come nowhere near winning an Award, but The Tick is supposed to have that corny feel to it where it seems as though everyone is overacting.

When I was younger I hated this show
Verified purchase
When I was younger I hated this show. I used to compare it to the genius Cartoon Tick. I can appreciate this way more now and its really good. The writing and character are spot on. Glad Amazon started a new Tick series. It is still upsetting the other characters are named incorrectly due to legal issues but this was very good. Wish it had more episodes.
