Idk about it.
It was a good show until the lesbian scenes. Like that wasn't necessary at all. Completely not relevant to the story. Just amazon pushing LGBT agenda. Almost every new show they make has these type of scenes. It's so obvious.

Kind of ok, Kate not very good.
Most of the story is believable. The production value is lovely. The direction is a bit melodramatic. The bulk of the cast is good, however Kate is not. She made it all a soap opera with her over dramatic gaze and pauses and over acting. Her performance was unreal. She’s very fake. While I’ve seen many foreign white women and men lose their minds in Africa, this one was not realistic. I lived in Africa I’ve seen this crap first hand. I also live in Wales and sadly this series didn't get either of them right.

Not Watchable
I tried watching the entire episode. I do like Beckinsale, but this series had virtually zero character development and it was confusing as they did not follow a consistent timeline of events. If I find nothing likeable or relatable in the main characters, why would I want to continue to watch the show?

Not great
First of all, what did Kate Beckinsale do to her face?! She was so pretty and now she just looks like all of the other Hollywood actresses who have ruined their looks by injecting filler and botox into their faces.

This series is just ok - kind of disjointed and unbelievable. The acting was not great either. Not terrible but could have been so much better.

Intriguing Story
TIA (This is Africa). All the grunge and corruption and nobility and sadness and beauty of a still dark continent in a fascinating, well done story. So Kate had too much plastic surgery (or maybe it's a long lost of cousin of hers who stole her name), it doesn't matter. She is almost as lovely as ever and supported by an excellent ensemble. We watch this stuff hoping for compelling stories well-told. We got one here.

Kate gives a solid genuine performance
Kate gives a solid genuine performance. watching this made me feel like I was following a real story by real people, not actors. A refreshing and enjoyable experience as you follow the story as it unfolds.

I binged the first three episodes so.....
The character development in this is really well done. Little pieces of each character's story are dropped in each episode. Plus, I love the backdrop of the Congo and some of the history and information about the lives of people living in this world where blood is spilled in so many different conflicts.

And come on....Kate looks great! She is IN CHARACTER and her character is not supposed to be all made-up glamorous!

Courageous or Stupidity ...
Courageous women know that courage comes within. It’s a fundamental part of their nature. Yes, it’s freedom of action through the portals of their hearts. Such actions are the essence of courage—“heart, spirit, love, and unequivocally ... Motherhood.”

This story carries those attributes through a woman’s journey in finding her long lost husband. An extraordinary journey intertwined with the backdrop of the exploitation, devastation, and atrocities afflicted upon the African people.

I mentioned a woman’s courage—well, there are no bounds to the context of love.

A riveting story persevering stupidity for all the right reasons. So there you have it, a woman’s courage motivated by love. On a worthy note, Kate Beckinsale’s performance was no less than stellar and Charles Dance continues to hold my admiration in his supporting role.

Will there be a Season 2 ...?
