Severely Burned My Mouth
Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2020
The reason I bought this product was that I thought, probably incorrectly, it was produced by the same people who make TheraWorx, a product with a similar name that has proved to be a miraculous treatment for my ferocious foot and leg cramps. But as benevolent and efficacious as TheraWorx is, that's how damaging TheraBreath turned out to be. I should have spit it out the second the burn began, but the instructions say to retain it for a certain amount of time (can't remember how many seconds). When I did eject it, my tongue, gums, palate were on fire; then the blisters formed. It took two weeks for me to be able to eat normally again.
I threw out both bottles, not even bothering to contact the company; I was so angry with them for manufacturing and selling a product that could hurt someone so badly that I just didn't want to have to deal with them or it in any way. But I was negligent in not having written this review till all these months later, when Amazon suggested I might want to reorder it!!! This is literally a case of once burned, twice shy. I haven't read any other reviews but the number of stars awarded by reviewers indicate my reaction may have been uncommon. Still, caveat emptor: It could happen to you.
