And even better they are all tied together through somewhat same but definitely different stories. And even better than that is that they are well written.
If you pay attention to the stories they expand on the total story lines and keep giving you information that literally started in book #1 and as you can see I’m on Book #7 ready for Book #8.
This story kind of follows the others in that we are one step closer to the end of the world as we know it. Sometime between now (the clock started 50 years ago) and 2040. Just found this out in Book #7. And I have no idea how this turns out.
Honestly if you haven’t started this series of Sam Reilly books you are missing out on some great stories and one comprehensive story of everything.
And the best is that a lot of them are free and all of them are available on Kindle Unlimited.
Anyway on to Book #8.

This could well have been a very good book in the Dirk Pitt style and the premise is very good. However I found the writing to be quite poor, mainly because the author crossed the fine line between making things exciting and going too far and making them too far-fetched to be believable. Also I found the writing jumped about between locales and people too much, so that I frequently found myself re-reading passages to make sure that I understood who and where the narrative was about.
Unfortunately I won't be reading any more of this author's work, I did persevere to the end of this book, but it was a close thing as to whether I would abandon it.

This book reminded me of the Dirk Pitt novels but without any of the excitement. From the first I must say that I did not finish the book. I managed to get to 45% before giving up. The story line was very disjointed and as a result was not easy to follow. I also realise that this is a work of fiction but there was no attempt at any form of realism. The characters lacked depth but were very heroic and extremely well armed as was borne out by a running gun battle through the streets of a city. Fortunately nobody got hit! The only character who stuck in my mind was the one with purple eyes. The supposed hero was able to scuba dive into an unknown set of caves in the city and on coming out at the other end fortunately had managed to bring his camera with him so that he could take photos of a forgotten language which he was able to miraculously translate immediately. What a load of rubbish. I would not recommend this book to anyone. I was able to download a number of books by this author for free recently. I will not bother even starting the rest. INCREDIBLE = NOT CREDIBLE
