Reading should be enjoyed. It never gets old. But to be this thoroughly entertained while reading or listening to a book that's a crime/thriller/mystery drama? Unheard of!
This is one I'll read again. And yes, I own both the Kindle and Audible version. Rare from me as am also an Unlimited subscriber.
I have recommended his other books to people who expect a lot from a book and they have loved them and recommended them to others.
While there can only be one Harry Binns Thomas Prescott is a likable and entertaining character and once I started to read Grey Matter I wound up reading straight through all 4 volumes.
If you haven't read Nick Pirog you are missing supurb books that are both funny and plot lines to keepyou hooked!
Part 3, The Afrikaans had a different feel to it. The writing style was different. Instead of a mystery, it felt more like an attempt at action/adventure with a large dose of AIDS awareness infomercial. I almost stopped there, but figured I had gone that far, I might as well read Show Me too.
Part 4 was more in the vein of mystery as Prescott delves into a cold case in Missouri. Not a bad story, but not page turning like Unforeseen was.

The book cannot decide if it's a crime novel or a comedy, and ends up a failed mixture.
Not normal fun Nic Pirog.
Will persevere, but not at night.
