Great characters, and plot, with the theme of letting go of ones emotional baggage, while forming new bonds and creating a functioning healthy community.
When pediatrician Andi moves to the island after being left at the alter, she buys a house in need of some TLC. Thus begins the story of relationships - romantic, family, and friends - all filled with drama, angst, and compassion. In addition, mental issues such as OCD and grief are central in the story.
This was a good book that is character driven and relatable on many levels. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the resolution to the interwoven storylines seemed a little rushed and a little too easy. But, in general, this was an enjoyable read.
The characters were poorly developed
The redundancy was ridiculous,(without revealing too much for those of you that want to read this book) how many times does Boston have to tell Andi, that she's has a problem, how many times does Boston have to tell Deana that she has a problem, how many times does Andi have to tell Deana and Boston that she has a problem, and so on and so on then how many times do they all have to get together with a bottle of wine to discuss the "problems" that you just spent 50 pages reading about 3 times!
Then without warning or "lead in" the conclusion just comes, everything is neatly tied up out of the blue
For me I say this book should filed under "young adult/teen" , I think an adult woman will find it boring, dull and childish-a man shouldn't even waste his time.
Boring story line + irritating redundancy + out-of-the-blue conclusion = not worth the $

I hope I have the right book as I've already given it away.
The amazing Susan Mallery is at her very best with her Blackberry Island series and Three Sisters is a shining star!

The second woman chooses to deal with a heart rending tragedy by refusing to acknowledge it, this threatens to ruin her marriage. The third woman chooses to run and completley start her life anew. Each learns that friendship, love, trust and letting go of the past, help to heal.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more.
A good read - not too taxing, but relaxing and enjoyable.
