Yarn is a smorgasbord of pulp style tales with a genre for everyone! I sampled every one and it didn't take long for me to realize that no matter what the genre I was in for a treat! Don't expect to meander mindlessly through these tales; around every corner there's a surprising twist, shock, terror, or something you wont see coming!!
Thrilling Adventure Yarns is brought to you by a plethora of talented writers who make up the Crazy 8 Press Publishing Company.
In Michael Jan Friedman's "Masks" we enter the world of The Blue Mask, a depression era heroine who ends up with the most unlikely of allies. Together they learn that everyone wears a mask in one form or another, and every hero has a "quirk". Get ready for an ending that will knock your socks off!! In Mary Fran's EXPLOSIVE "The Last Gunslinger" we go to a bullied frontier town and learn that not all western heroes wear ten gallon hats and spurs! Bob Greenberger takes us to a medieval kingdom where sword and sorcery collide over a fallen thrown in "Aftermath". Keith R.A. DeCandido tackles racism and Eisenhower era ignorance in "Alien Invasion Earth". And theres "Girl Running From House" by Jim and Becky Beard for the Hitchcock lover in you! There is also a never before published story by Doc Savage author Lester Dent called "Hate Hop"!
O'h yeah! This book is full of treats! And was a joy to read! I found these stories to be refreshingly relevant and entertaining!
