Good Shakespeare adaptation.

First of all, his name's spelled Jonathan PRYCE, and he's a great actor--fans of Terry Gilliam's films will recognize him from his several appearances in them, perhaps most famously "Brazil"--and I was glad to have found this film on Amazon Video, along with many other good Shakespeare adaptations. I haven't read the original play yet, though I read a synopsis of it, and it seems this film didn't cover ALL of the details of the original Shakespeare work, but oh well. It was a pleasure watching Jonathan Pryce and the other actors perform it. It is not Shakespeare's best work--and has been believed to be unfinished, and written in collaboration with Thomas Middleton--but critics have been right to compare it with the great Shakespeare plays "King Lear" and "Coriolanus" in its themes of the evil of flatterers and the reversals of fortune and social favor which can bring madness, misanthropy, and incite one to revenge and even the hating of one's entire country.
