I've been to three of Ms. Turner's concerts and left drenched with sweat, hoarse of voice and cosmically euphoric. You are very brave, beautiful, intelligent, gifted and an inspiration to all who believe they are stuck with no exit door. You inspired me, to live my best life, to follow my true Path of creativity with all the passion within my Spirit. Thank you Ms. Turner, lovely Tina, brilliant Ann, for sharing your most heartbreaking past and your glorious rise like the Phoenix to fame, peace and finally, Love.

Tina. Turner is the real Wonder Woman.

This brought back so many fond memories of my youth, as we are about the same age. Yes, civilians can be thrust back to PTSD from our past. It was joyful to watch her become herself. I wish I could tell her that she is loved and wouldn't anyone love to have 186,000 fans loving her back? Thank you for this Tina and Amazon for showing it. She is the true Wonder Woman.

Wonderful tribute to a legend and humble heart that is TINA, gorgeous and beautiful inside and out.

I’m at a loss for words after watching this tribute to Tina. She so graciously shares both the radiant light of her gifts and passion as well as the wisdom, humility and compassion despite the darkness she endured. Tina is a role model for anyone that knows there is an unstoppable light within that wants to shine regardless of the socialization, stereotypes and limits that all say “don’t be too big and bright”. What a gorgeous and beautiful human being inside and out. I wish her peace.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. I'm the biggest Tina fan...I subscribed to HBO just to watch this. So storytelling...intrigued from the INTRO...im glad she was finally able to say her peace. I loved how the ending focused on her, Erwin, and her play...sending her FAREWELL. I LOVE YOU TINA TURNER

Conflicted but great documentary/film.

I don't know what I was expecting but it definitely was not this. This woman is beyond amazing, has the covering of divinity and strength of something out of this world. In the same sense, it is incredibly sad and heartbreaking to listen and hear her speak of life known of but not known. Imagine being one the greatest musicians of our time and having to live with constant torment, reminders, abuse... which led to a miserable life and sense of being. I'm so happy that she found love. Something that should be so simple yet for some reason is so hard to come by. Even from your family. It's quite sad. Great documentary/film but I kind of wish I didn't watch. Nothing is entertaining about watching someone else's misery. My heart goes out to her with hopes that her last days on Earth are filled with nothing but joy, love and happiness.

Good despite traditional talking head style because Turner's life is so compelling

Tina is a documentary about Tina Turner’s life. In the opening she says that she didn’t want to do a biography of her life because the good didn’t outweigh the bad. She meant her abusive marriage to Ike Turner. She called their relationship “a life of death.” Unfortunately the documentary takes a traditional approach with most of it being talking heads or documentary footage with the interviews over the top. Thankfully the music is great and Turner’s story is compelling because of all the violence she survived, finally escaped, and thrived afterward.

Courageous Story

I knew some of Tina Turner's story from a few interviews and of course the film "What's Love Got To Do With It". This documentary provided information about her childhood and career after Ike Turner that I never knew. It is a poignant, triumphant story filled with concert and interview footage that is a must-see for Tina Turner fans or anyone wanting to know more about her life.
