Her boyfriend’s back…
Izzie Deshler’s life hasn’t always been picture perfect, but since moving to Good Hope things have been going her way. She has made a wonderful group of friends, her art career is soaring, and the heartbreaks from her past are behind her—or at least, that’s what she thought.
When Dr. Theo Holbrook accepted a position in Good Hope, he was excited to practice in a place where he could really get to know people and make a difference in their lives. But when one of the first faces he sees is his long-lost love Izzie Deshler, he realizes it’s his life that is about to change.
Both Izzie and Theo recognize that the connection between them is as powerful as ever. But while Theo believes fate has brought them back together for fresh start, Izzie isn’t so sure. Good Hope has a way of making strangers into friends, but can this tight-knit community help two lost souls see that sometimes true love deserves a second chance?

Lots of old friends reappear in this book. We go back to favorite places in Good Hope as well as gettign to enjoy the events and traditions that take place on the peninsula.
I received an ARC from the publisher for honest feedback.
Of course, this book would not be as great if it didn’t include Gladys and her group, even with Oaklee out. There is more going on in Good Hope and I love that Cindy incorporates them into everyone’s story. Although there is happiness in the story there is sadness and loss, something that brings tears to my eyes for personal experiences. I hope the stories of Good Hope never ends as it always gives me hope.
I received an ARC of the book, but the review is of my own opinion!
When she meets the new doctor in town, her entire sense of well being is turned upside down.
Theo went to high school with Izzie. In their senior year they became lovers. When Izzie became pregnant, they made a plan to marry. She lost the baby. Theo got a football scholarship, went to Ann Arbor and other than a few text messages, never looked back.
Now, the strong sense of attraction between the two is still simmering beneath the surface. But, Izzie is having none of it. She knows not to trust Theo. Theo understand that he must earn her trust if he wants any kind of relationship with her.
The 3 elderly women who are the town’s matchmakers decide they must get Izzie and Theo together. Gladys is the ring leader and she uses every trick in her book in order to give Izzie and Theo happiness.
The people who live in Good Hope are special people. If they were not special before they moved to Good Hope, they become special. There is a sense of generosity. People believe that helping their neighbors is not charity. It is simply the way people are supposed to care for one another. The citizens are ready to work in order to raise money for good causes. They are also ready to share with people in any way possible. And they have fun while they are doing these good deeds.
Although this is the 17th book in this series, it works as a stand alone read. A new reader will get explanations of past relationships as well as past events. There are times when characters are introduced and it takes a minute to place who they are and where they fit into the town.
I recommend that any reader who reads this book, would be better served by looking at the previous entries in the series.
This is a series that makes a reader wish to buy a ticket to Good Hope, find a good house to buy and find all the good heated people who are on every corner in town.
I received this book from the publisher in the hope that I would write a fair and honest review. I am voluntarily writing the review and all opinions are completely my own.

Theo is delighted but Izzie is wary. Gladys and her sidekicks have decided that they are their next match, but then Gladys changes her mind and decides she wants to help them rediscover that they were very good friends. Izzie and Theo are pretty good at dodging their efforts until Theo decides to play along. They enjoy many wonderful dates, Izzie goes to various events with him and starts to fall in love with him all over again after Ethan and Gianna's wedding. Izzies mother finds out and warns her not to trust him as he hurt her so deeply before. When Theo is contacted by a recruiter to say his dream job has opened up for him Izzie is sure he is going to leave her again.
The epilogue made me very weepy and I recommend you find out the full story.
