Oh wow! This book is scorching hot, leaving me on pins and needles and completely unsatisfied, yet I loved every single second I spent reading this book! I’m addicted to Prue, Cam, and Max, and I am already so excited to see where their passionate adventure will take us next. Prue yearns for love, and has a heart big enough for two men. I loved that she tried to take the decision seriously, that she was willing to give herself over to two men, and that she tried hard to protect her own heart where she could. Cam and Max are intense, passionate, possessive, and pure dominant male. They both try hard to woo their lady, yet they’re holding a secret that will rock Prue’s world, and ours as the reader. I don’t want to give too much away, but this book will have you on the edge of your seat, needing a cool glass of water, and desperate to know what decision Prue might make! I’m craving to know how their story might end in the third book, especially seeing how things end in this book, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion to this heart pounding romance!
Sometimes, as a reader, it is hard to do a review without revealing too much, and with this series, that is definitely the case. I am not one for spoilers. What I will say is that, once again, Ms. Anya Summers did a fantastic job of keeping the story on edge. I felt uneasy with how Prue could be with one or the other of her two lovers, and during intense, intimate scenes, she is thinking what would the other one think.
“I had found pieces of myself, of my heart, in each man’s embrace. Would the risk be worth the potential reward when my heart was in play? Would I be able to let one of them go when I was discovering just how much I needed them both?”
“The next two weeks were going to be an erotic filled journey of epic proportions. Would I survive the heady delights intact?”
“I was going to have to revise my opinion. Max and Cam obviously planned to woo the pants off me, and make it as difficult as humanly possible to choose between them.”
“I hated this. I felt like I was being unfaithful in this game of yo-yo, and was no clearer on whom to select.”
Just like Prue, I was surprised—and even a bit angered at the way Max and Cam have played her—right now, I don’t like either one of them; I’m hoping by the final book, Redeemed By Love, I will like them. The story includes BDSM, dominance and submission, bondage, voyeurism, exhibitionism, menage, and power-play.
She has fallen for both men, and now they want her to choose. They propose spending the next two weeks wooing her, but the more time goes by, the harder it is to choose between them. They are so different. They teach her that she is a submissive in the bedroom, and both want to be her Dominant.
Max and Cam are angry when she tells them that she loves them both, but cannot choose. She spends her days continuing to study the journal, and her nights in bliss with her men. She finally decides the only solution is to leave.
The story picks up right where the first one left off, and ends on a cliffhanger. It is a very angsty story, and there doesn't seem to be a resolution that won't leave any of them hurt. The sex scenes are hot, and the story really drew me in. Now to wait for the third and final book!
