Wow! Beautiful females and beautiful locales. I loved seeing Tia Carrere in this film. I remember first seeing her in an Airwolf episode opposite the late great Jan-Michael Vincent (God Rest His Soul). She was a 19-year-old kid when she started acting and her career has flourished.
C. Thomas Howell has always been one of my favorite actors. I think he might have become an A-List actor had it not been for his lack of height. But diminutive in height has nothing to do with toughness. Here he takes on a drug lord and bests him and in the process gets out from under a heavy debt that he'd owed the said drug dealer/loan shark.
This is a Three Star film. Solid but no big cigar. I got it to round out my DVD collection. I'm the fourth person to review this film. Buy it if you are a big fan of C. Thomas Howell and Tia Carrere. The villain's name I don't know.
