Treasure Trail: MM Supernatural Suspense Kindle Edition
A web of lies, danger, and deception might make Erik and Ben Cape May’s newest ghosts!
Erik Mitchell traveled the world uncovering art fraud, which pitted him against spoiled billionaires, unscrupulous collectors, mobsters, and cartels. When a sting goes wrong, Erik is injured, and his relationship falls apart. He decides to stop globetrotting and buy an antique shop in scenic Cape May, NJ, rebuild his life, and nurse his broken heart.
Undercover Newark cop Ben Nolan went down in a hail of bullets when a bust went sideways after a tip-off from a traitor inside the department. When his aunt offers him the chance to take over her rental real estate business in Cape May, it seems too good to be true. Now, if he could just believe he could ever be lucky again in love.
Sparks fly when Erik and Ben meet. But a cursed hotel’s long-ago scandals resurface, setting off a dangerous chain of events that will test their bond—and might make them Cape May’s newest ghosts!
Treasure Trail is a suspenseful MM paranormal romance mystery-adventure filled with second chance love, hurt/comfort, soulmates, awesome tattoos, dangerous secrets, restless ghosts, psychic visions, helpful witches, angry mobsters, and a haunted hotel.
Book One in the Treasure Trail series.

Any how, if you are not into art or antiques, you might be bored with this novel because they play a huge part in the plot. If you are into them and M/M romance, with some paranormal/psychic twists, then you will probably enjoy this book too. I am hoping it is the start of a new series featuring the adventures of Erik and Ben.
This author is fairly new. The author's backlist is not very long. I noticed some minor editing errors, but I actually notice editing errors in the majority of books I read, especially in genre fiction published by even the biggest most famous US publishing imprints. There are always no editing errors in big publishing house non-fiction and top selling literary fiction. I mention this because the author might want to ask their editor to try just a little harder while reading and correcting the manuscript. (No stars removed for the small errors.)
HEA romance, explicit sex, paranormal and psychic elements, leisurely pace plot
I have to say that I normally wouldn't read a paranormal type book - but I'm glad that this one fell into my lap! I loved that the author didn't have to spend a lot of time getting into the backstory, something Brice has masterfully done. Just a few sentences here or there, and the backstory just flowed with the rest of the story. Erik was a great character that you just couldn't help but feel for after all he'd been through. And Ben, tumbling down after his professional life went pear-shaped, made you just ache for him. Their first meeting, when sparks flew, went well - and then the misunderstandings were really relatable.
The author has a good grasp on keeping you in the moment, as well as keeping a few things suspenseful. This is a good read!

It was like Supernatural and Buffy had a baby...I need more of all the characters..It was exciting and spooky and full of love...I'm definitely a fan.
I did enjoy the characters, and the chemistry between Erik and Ben. They were both a little jaded from their past experiences, and given they're both in their 30s I loved the realism and understanding they both had that no-one gets to their age without some sort of baggage or damage. It did border on insta-love given they only knew each other for a week before declaring love, but the soulmates aspect helped balance that a little. Personally I would have preferred them to have known each other longer before declaring love.
The storyline was probably my favourite part - the mystery they inadvertently ended up in the middle of, and then them working as a team to hunt down answers to the questions. I liked trying to figure out who was behind the recent attacks as well as how they were linked to the past.
All in all, a great start to the series, and I look forward to the next book/s being released.
