These are a little rom-commy but not ridiculously so. The cultural clashes are a fun way to show that even when you are able to understand what the other says, what isn't said is more often important. Drakarians are direct, humans play games of coyness and prevarication. Humans don't have a fate mark, Drakarians do but don't always mate by it. Things get interesting lol. The big hurdles have all been jumped and these stories are now more little slices of life, navigating ongoing miscommunications and glimpses into each clan. A lot gets glossed over but they're entertaining reads.
And exactly how many original ships were there? The author mentioned something about several large ships left earth but it was unclear of how many besides the one, were hit by pirates. And why they killed humans versus selling them.
The couple story to me was a repeat with slight differences of several in series. Yes it was well done, but it could have been different.
Felt like Danielle S. Book, change names, places, occupation, but same progression.
Arnav has had his eye on Maya ever since he met her, but he doesn’t realize that his interest is very much reciprocated.
Cultural differences and misunderstandings galore ensue before the two can find their happily ever after.
A sweet and at times funny romance in this sci-fi romance series. Each book is a very quick and enjoyable read, perfect escapism for the reader needing it!
Maya has been secretly in love with Arnav. He is Prince Llyr's lead guard of the Earth Dragons. Unbeknownst to her, he has been secretly in love with her too.
There are several problems though. First and foremost is that his mating mark has not shown up. Secondly, there are miscommunications between them because the each one feels as if they need to prove themselves first or that they are unworthy.
Read to find out how two great, kind and altogether wonderful people finally get a clue as to what the other feels about them.

This one was unrealistic, in my opinion, in that there are so many instances where they should have clued in, and one where the hero OVERHEARS the heroine's description of the one she likes, and the hero still doesn't get that he is the object of her affection.
Another issue is that at the point in the series, it seems odd and repetitive that all the women call their love interests, "my love" - there is literally no variety in pet names. The heroines, aside from their professions, all seem the same by this point.
I'm hoping the next one shows some departure in characterization and plot, because I really did enjoy this series at the outset and it would be a shame for it to end on a decline.
