From the Back Cover
If she has her way . . .
Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop with frustration in his chocolate-brown eyes and a pink bedazzled cat carrier in his hand. He needs a kitty sitter, stat. But the last thing Willa needs is to rescue a guy who doesn’t even remember her . . .
He’ll get nothing but coal in his stocking.
Saddled with his great-aunt’s Feline from Hell, Keane is desperate to leave her in someone else’s capable hands. But in spite of the fact that he’s sure he’s never seen the drop-dead-gorgeous pet shop owner before, she seems to be mad at him . . .
Unless he tempers “naughty” with a special kind of nice . . .
Willa can’t deny that Keane’s changed since high school: he’s less arrogant, for one thing—but can she trust him not to break her heart again? It’s time to throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish—and let the mistletoe do its work . . .

The writing style did not make me feel invested in the characters and I felt Willa's struggle with relationships was forced just to create angst in the book. I'm a little shocked the reviews for this book are so high as I feel like I must have missed something along the way.
This is definitely one to pass on.
Keane Winters runs his own contracting and construction company. Always on the move and always working on a project, he doesn’t expect a long-lost aunt to show up with her devil of a cat for him to look after. In need of some serious help (and maybe a permanent pet sitter), Keane finds himself in Willa’s store.
When Keane meets the adorable shop owner, he can’t help but notice her attitude. What he doesn’t know (or can’t seem to remember) is that Willa is part of his past. Unlike Keane, Willa knows and remembers exactly who he is, and how he had snubbed her so long ago. She may be just as attracted to him now as she once was, but she refuses to fall for his charms and let him hurt her again.
The more Willa snubs him, the more intrigued Keane becomes with her. He needs to figure out why she seems familiar to him, and why she seems so upset by his presence. The more they’re thrown together, the more difficult it becomes for them to fight their feelings for one another. They may have a past to dig through and sort out, but once they do, they’re free to discover their potential.
This was such a fun and sweet holiday read. I loved the critters, the whole gang from Sweet Little Lies making another appearance, the chemistry between Keane and Willa, and much more. This story reminded me of watching a feel-good, holiday, Hallmark movie. The love blossoming between the characters, the romance of the season, and the festive ambiance sprinkled throughout the pages just left me feeling warm and fuzzy. I couldn’t get enough!
What makes this story even more exciting is the fact that Passionflix is debuting Mistletoe as a feature film for the holidays beginning this Friday! Personally, I can’t wait! I feel like I’ve been waiting to see this movie since they announced it several months back. If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, do yourselves a favor and go meet Keane and Willa now if you haven’t already!
Willa wants love but is certain she'll never be deserving of it, no matter how many times she tosses a coin in the fountain. Keane isn't looking for love, at least not the permanent kind, but both of them are shocked when a) Willa finds it in him but panics, and b) Keane decides he wants it and is willing to wait until Willa agrees.
But will she? Especially after he agrees to give his grandmother's cat away and decides to sell the Victorian he's just finished lovingly rehabbing? Stay tuned... It's almost Christmas and wonderful gifts can be found under the tree.

Would have given 5 stars but near the end the book lost its glowing quirkiness that was so bright in the first 3/4. It was a little disappointing that it turned out to be just a generic romance ending after the beginning set it so far apart from the rest in the genre.
Still would HIGHLY recommend to read! A solid 9/10!
Heartbreaker Bay #2
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ So happy to be back with this crew of friends! They are all awesome together. Willa is such a caring woman that had a wonderful way with animals. I loved her sassy wit and how she kept Keane on his toes.
Keane was a strong lead and a great pairing for Willa. I really liked that he seemed to realize what he wanted before Willa did and how he was still pursuing, yet waiting for her at the same time.
I got lots of laughs out of this book, the secondary characters always win me over and I really can't wait to read the upcoming books in this series!!!

I was looking forward to the second book in this series impatiently and I can tell I got what I had expected. I loved Willa, she was strong, funny, and very sweet despite her past. How could she not be when she loves animals and her friends a lot. She fights for them and for her dreams.
Keane (sigh) is another hero I could not help falling in love with. He is hot and strong of course, and has a big heart. See? You have to love him.
What I loved about this book most is this group of friends. How they stick to each other, the love among them is very strong. I cannot wait for the third book with Elle and Archer in it.
And as always I also loved Jill's sense of humor: Willa's love for decorations, Keane's feelings towards his aunt's cat. I started to cite scenes from this book to friends so that they also know how funny and sexy this book is.
I can only recommend this book when you need a really good story and you are not against laughing a lot.
