I wish this was available in a board book or a paperback with sturdier paper. I would definitely pay more for a more durable option. Despite the super low price, I am still deducting a star because it's so flimsy and I worry it won't last long. I wish I could leave this in the child-accessible book shelf, but for now we are keeping it out of reach so it doesn't get destroyed. Older kids who know how to handle books shouldn't have any issues.
I was obsessed with trucks and construction vehicles as a kid. There was no Nintendo. There was no iPad. There was me playing outside in the dirt with my Tonka toys for hours and me looking through this book when I wasn't outside.
The illustrations are charming but don't use accurate perspective, giving them a look that's a little "off" when I look at it with adult eyes. But who cares? If you have a small boy who's interested in trucks, buy this book. It's cheap and, if they're like me, they will cherish its memories and look back on it with a smile.
Excuse me, but I've got something in my eye.

My three year now spots graders and cement mixers (as well as many other trucks) and has something to say about each of them. This has been great for discussing things with manly grandpas. As a mom of a truck loving boy this book doesn’t just put me to sleep like a lot of other ones. It’s not silly and my serious child very much appreciates that but my silly daughter loves it because it’s information she doesn’t get elsewhere.
Our family loves this book and I will be gifting it to other truck kids in the future
