THE NOVEL IS GREAT, FABULOUS, THE LITTLE BIT I HAVE READ SO FAR..... However, the actual copy I received is another story.... hold your nose :(
I often order the used books and only request "very good" copies. EVERY novel I have received like this has been wonderful.... until now.... Yes, I understand the book was "used" BUT it was also described as "Very good condition" and that it is not.
It smells, it is all wrinkled, it is yellowing and the front cover is folding in on itself, warped, stained and disgusting.
BACK IT GOES.
And I'll edit this when I have read the actual book ♡
One thing with this book bugged the heck out of me. Warning, SPOILER AHEAD.
The woman supposedly saw Dallas' tattoo, which was on his bicep. This was on December 24th in Washington state. Uh, if someone was wearing a tank top or very short sleeved top, that would be very noticeable. The weather can be wacky here, but I don't see people in no sleeved shirts in December. This was NEVER addressed in the book, and it was, to me anyway, such an obvious error! I didn't enjoy the book as much as I should have because I kept thinking "surely someone is going to say something about this." Nope. Never happened.
Anyway, this isn't my favorite of her books that I've read. It's okay but very forgettable.
But no one can hit grand Slams at every at bat. And that's ok. They are still a super star. So what if it isn't as good a say, the last FIVE books by her. It is still a best seller, and rightfully so.
You are taken on a ride with each of the characters whereby the ones you started out not liking, you ended up loving, and vic versa. The story itself is a journey... and epic journey.
