1.0 out of 5 starsSoviet style propaganda
As a fan and voter of President Donald Trump I try to be open minded rather than just automatically assume he's correct all the time, I try to look at the issue from other peoples point of view. Maybe, it is Trump who is in the wrong, but after watching this Soviet style propaganda I can honestly say that democracy in America is dead. I understand the creators of this are anti Trump and that's fine, but if you're going to list all his life's failures and not show any successes it makes you look tacky and hacky.

So instead of screaming about how ridiculous this doc is, I'll just list a couple accomplishments President Trump has accomplished over the past two years.

1.0 out of 5 starsYeah , another Michael Moore but not as ugly
Starting with a basic premise and trying to work your way up to prove it, is not journalism. And ,then presented on a platform, supplied by the CEO of a company that has an ax to grind ; it all adds up to a shameless political marketing ploy.

5.0 out of 5 starsFrom The Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Trump ★ Russia
I am not aware any such in-depth reporting in the United States, where it is most important that this quality broadcasting is widely available for public viewing. Apparently the Australian Broadcast Corporation is able to do real reporting on the American president, where in the US, there would apparently be outrage if such detailed information about Mr. Trump were broadcast. At least it can be watched on Amazon (and also iTunes and Vimeo). I cannot help but think that if these were required viewing for every American, we would not be in the fix we are in.

4.0 out of 5 starsInternational perspective looking at the russian bad guys and their american stooge
It is well known trump has bought major media for decades to boost his reputation and hide unsavory news. But trump can't buy everyone, and looks like 4 corners has produced an intriguing look from the outside into American politics and influence from trump's foreign handlers. This won't end well for russia...

A well done, informative, sickening and, unfortunately, not at all shocking 3 episode series. Worth a watch

5.0 out of 5 starsVery thought provoking
These Australian filmmakers seem to have hit all the bases in terms of interviewing the major players of the Trump drama. Although no verdict is given in the three segments, after listening to them and watching them one is left with the impression that the President enjoys the company of some very bad company. (As this is being written six Trump close advisors and friends have been indicted.) It comes as no revelation at all that Trump's main objective is and has always been the acquisition of money for him and his family.

Worth spending just under 3 hours on a rainy afternoon...

5.0 out of 5 starsExcellent Documentary
This is a well-made, "just-the-facts, -ma'am" documentary in three parts from Four Corners, a highly respected investigative TV program that has aired on The Australian Broadcast Corporation for over half a century. Four Corners is similar in format and quality to PBS’s Frontline.

So don't let the modest overall rating for the documentary mislead you; folks relying on their emotions rather than their reason have lowered the rating unjustifiably. Viewers not wanting things to be as they are can't change the way they are, but they can lower a documentary's rating with one-star reviews. Those reviews here are either short shrift dismissals of the film or are stuffed with name calling and misdirection rather than substance. None are useful critiques of the work.

The one drawback to this documentary is the probe has moved on since the film's completion. Paul Manafort is no longer awaiting trial; he's been tried, convicted, pleaded to more crimes, agreed to cooperate with the special counsel, reneged on that agreement, and now awaits sentencing as I write this. Roger Stone has since been arrested and awaits trial. And the special counsel has tipped his hand in court somewhat with claims of evidence that Stone was communicating with the GRU and Wikileaks and Manafort was sharing campaign data with the Russkies.

Still, it’s easy to forget all that has happened, and this film is an excellent refresher course in events up to its date of publication.

I recommend it highly.
