Trusting Cassidy: Silverstone, Book 4 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
In this final installment of New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker’s Silverstone series, a battle-scarred assassin must rescue an old flame from ruthless drug lords.
What was supposed to be a short trip to Jamaica becomes a years-long nightmare as Cassidy Hewitt and her son fall into the grip of an infamous drug kingpin. Desperate for rescue, Cassidy risks everything to send secret letters to the FBI, hoping someone, anyone, will answer her call.
When secret operative Leo “Gramps” Zanardi sees Cassidy’s letters, he knows this isn’t just another covert mission. The two had electric chemistry back in high school, and Leo finds himself eager for a reunion - even if the circumstances aren’t exactly ideal.
After arriving back in Indiana, Leo and Cassidy think they’re free to start a new life together. But the kingpin’s goons won’t let go of Cassidy so easily: they follow her from Jamaica, leaving carnage in their wake. Before the pair can fully embrace the love they’ve been missing all these years, they’ll need the entire Silverstone team’s help to be victorious in the showdown of their lives.

I wish I could get my money back. If she would indicate in the description that it is a mixed race romance, I would not have bought it.
What follows is Susan Stoker’s formula. And I always find comfort in that. I know going into one of her books, the hero and heroine are going to get together work on their relationship then the baddie is going to show up. This is no different. What is a little different is the storyline with Mario. This is the first time that Stoker has introduced a child of Mario’s age, and the way in which she writes his storyline flows through the story works so well. Leo’s care and dedication to Mario from the get-go is in line with the type of hero that Stoker writes, and it isn’t disappointing at all.
The epilogue in this book, since it is the series ender also follows her typical role where we get those years out and moments from each couple. And the relationships between the families holds strong and true even years later. IF you haven’t read Susan Stoker before, this is a perfect series to start with because it is only four books so you get can get a good grasp of her style without having to dive into a long series.
I love the way the story progresses, the relationship Leo builds with Mario from the beginning, & the highlighting of the friendships of the men & women of Silverstone.
This is an exciting, fun, steamy read, and the epilogue into the future gives the perfect updates at each couple. Accomplishments & peeks into the kids growing up, reconnecting with each couple, all of it was well told!
There were some more graphic scenes with the baddies that I had to skip over, but overall this gets a huge thumbs up from me!!
When I anxiously await something, I always worry about whether I may have built it up in my head. I worry if maybe I put too high expectations on it. Do I maybe expect it is going to be better than it is since I have wanted it for a while? One of the reasons I love Susan so much is that it always turns out to be worth the wait. I am never disappointed. I wasn’t disappointed this time either.
The guys of Silverstone towing are back and (dare I say?) better than ever! We have the entire series with the guys and have learned gramps is great at giving advice....because he has been there, and is still longing for the one who got away. Now, it is his second chance to get it right.
Cassidy feels like her life has been one bad choice after another, starting with not going after Leo in high school. Her latest bad choice could end up getting her and her son killed. When her letters to the FBI end up bringing Leo to their rescue is it fate giving them a second chance?
This book was amazing. I always enjoy spending time with big bad alpha men who are marshmallows when it comes to their women and it seems that Susan always writes the best ones around. You won’t be sorry you read it I can almost guarantee it.
Happy Reading my Friends!

Cassidy was a big problem for with this book. What was she thinking dragging her son to Columbia to teach??? So Cassidy to me isn’t a massive thinker about life. At 18 she’s in love with Leo/Gramps and he is too afraid to have a relationship with her. So she marries an older richer man who she respects and he treats her and their son like s…t. So she divorces him but feels the whole town is judging her (Oh Boo Hoo!) So she replies to a job advertisement to teach kids in a house in Columbia. She thinks this is amazing idea and takes her son. When she ends up being kept as a prisoner and her son is delivering drugs, she writes letters to the F.B.I who send in Silverstone. Gramps/Leo to the rescue.
I’ve got to say I loved his character. Hated his nickname as you can’t imagine a sexy man called Gramps! I’ve loved the concept of these books. The way the team are family and their wives are friends.
Just a few small problems with this book.
In the beginning she’s despairing about how she’s going to get her and her son free. As she’s not allowed to make phone calls without a man guarding her and she’s not allowed to go into town on her own. So how does she post letters to the F.B.I if she’s never on her own???
When Gramps is allowed in her room and they supposedly record her in her room. He acts really sweet with her and her som, totally against the role of the evil drug Lord, that he’s playing. And nobody suspects anything??
There are more things wrong but I won’t bore you too tears.
It was ok. I wasn’t overly keen on Cassidy and her decisions but Leo was brilliant. If you have read the series then you have to read this. I just feel let down. I don’t have that aww feeling at the ending of a brilliant series!
Gramps always knew Cassidy was meant to be his, but she was the one who got away, not this time...she is his, his to protect, his to love, his forever - he just needs to rescue her first!
You have to respect Cassidy, she may have made mistakes but she never gives up, she is determined to find an escape, the minute she sees Leo she knows her prayers have been answered...he has always been her escape, her safe place.
A fantastic finish to an awesome series that I read on Kindle Unlimited, I am gutted the series has finished but I know Ms Stoker has lots more for us in the future!
Gramps and the guys are back to go undercover to rescue and old school friend of Gramps. Cassidy needed a fresh start and headed out to Jamaica with her son to be a nanny for a local businessman. Unfortunately that didn’t work out as planned and five years later she’s begging for help to escape.
But those left behind weren’t happy with the chain of events and are looking to take revenge.
What a fantastic story. Love the Silverstone guys. I love how Susan books just totally draw me along for the ride.
The epilogue at the end was something and really enjoy knowing what happens to them in later life. Can’t wait for the next series!
