What's not to love about finding friends and family where you least expect?

There are so many things to love about this film, and watching it is like being wrapped up in a warm fuzzy blanket. Peter is a bit of a train-wreck at the start of this film and Paul Guilfoyle does an absolutely phenomenal job of taking us through his life-changing journey. And his is not the only standout performance - he is surrounded by an extremely talented and diverse cast who really make their characters come alive and give the film its true heart. If only we all could be so lucky to have a cafe like Peter's to call home. Overall, it's a fantastic film and well worth a watch!

I also appreciate immensely the representation of multiple disabilities in this film (including characters with Down syndrome and others who were hearing impaired). And not just the fact that they were included, but also that they were treated with dignity and respect and given agency (which is often lacking in other films).

this movie will make you feel happy to be a human being.

I knew nothing about the movie, prior to viewing, so it was a completely enjoyable revelation. It's a film for the entire family. The cast is the very definition of diversity. The theme is redemption of the human spirit. I'm glad I didn't see it until we were plunged into Covid Crisis. It lifted my spirits and helped me to forget about our troubles. There is hope!

A deeply uplifting and powerful film!

I had the pleasure of my film “The Bestowal” being nominated alongside “Turnover” at the 2019 Love International Film Festival where “Turnover” deservedly picked up quite a few awards! It was clear to me then that this film was made with a great deal of love, and even clearer after seeing it.

Right from the opening credits, it is clear that the film is very well shot. The cinematographer and camera team did an excellent job as the camera work is both very fluid and vibrant.

Though there is an excellent cast, the standout performer for me is veteran TV and film actor Paul Guilfoyle. He is an exceptional lead in this and displays very good range. Growing up watching “Speed”, it was also really cool seeing Carlos Carrasco in this! I also enjoyed Isabella Blake-Thomas’s performance as Pepper - she has very good charisma on screen and I can see her going far in this industry. Jamie Brewer is also very good as Gina.

One thing I also have to applaud this film for casting such a diverse group of actors. They all compliment each other very well on screen.

“Turnover” is a very emotional and powerful film, something that really pulls at your heartstrings. It’s a film that above all is about the power of the human spirit. It is clear that Linda Palmer really directed this film from the heart, and I have to give her immense credit for that. This film will make you laugh and cry and it takes a very talented group of filmmakers to make something like that happen.

My only criticism was that I felt the film could have been about twenty minutes shorter for a more impactful and tighter running time. The film ends on an excellent musical track.

Overall, an excellent cinematic achievement made by people at the top of their craft! Thumbs up all the way. I look forward to seeing what Linda Palmer does next in her career.

An undiscovered indie gem ... beautiful from start to finish

An undiscovered indie gem ... beautiful from start to finish. I think I love this movie more than anyone else in the world. It's charming, heartwarming and endearing, but with a deep, subtle message that somehow slips in and really gives you something to think about. Paul Guilfoyle is right on target as the gruff restauranteur who turns his life around and discovers a kinder, gentler world – with the help of his newfound rag-tag group of misfit employees. Katharine Kramer is delightful as the villainous, high society ex-wife. She reminds me of a young Joan Collins from Dynasty in the '80s. Donna Mills is solid, strong, and capable, as ever. I first saw this beautiful, lovingly crafted indie gem at a film festival last year, and was thrilled to find it here on Amazon, where I can enjoy it again and again. Beautiful music seals the deal for me, and Linda Palmer is clearly a director to watch.

TURNOVER is a refreshing, family friendly, feel good story!!

In today's world, I believe we all need to feel good and Turnover is a perfect feel good movie for all ages. I felt like I was watching a genuine cross-section of society, since all the characters felt like real people I'd see in my own life. Each character was well developed and you cared about each one of them. How these people worked together for a common good was refreshing and entertaining to watch. When the movie ended... I wanted to see more. I wanted to keep watching how these characters continued on in their lives. I smiled so much during this movie... felt great!!

Sweet indie film with heart!

Turnover is a really lovely indie film. It follows a small but homey cafe and the new, seemingly trainwreck employees that the former manager hired as a way to spite the owner, Peter, after an unfortunate misunderstanding. Although the new employees would at first glance appear to be ill-suited for their jobs, they quickly take well to their positions and grow closer as friends. By the end, this group of misfits becomes a family, with their boss, Peter, at the head. This film also has some nice representation with there being two bussers with Down's Syndrome, a Hispanic cook, and a gay African-American manager. Other lesser represented groups act in supporting roles as well. You really can't beat it for representation! This was a really nice film with a great theme. It has an optimistic tone, which is very appreciated during these quarantine times. Give it a watch!

What the world needs right now is a “Feel Good” movie, and this is it. A fun cast of characters that grow on you throughout the movie. A good storyline without violence or adult language. Enjoyed the music too. The opening scene made me want to run to the kitchen to start baking!
