When they get to Milo Island she finds out that she has been tricked into meeting her betrothed. Will her pride and stubbornness keep her from her mate? Will an evil scientist succeed in taking royal’s blood, or can they stop him? Come on in and find out.

In this book Treasure is finished with her cadet training as a FUC agent and is ready to go home to the island of Milos where she is actually a princess. Before leaving she meets Mateo, aka Teo, who is the King Cock of the Madagascar rock agama lizard territory. Unbeknownst to them both they have been secretly set up by their fathers who are hoping they will fall in love. But their is a secret being kept that may ruin it all. A really fast moving short story and I really enjoyed it.

THE TURTLE AND THE ROCK is the nineteenth book in the multi-author FUC Academy series and the second book in Amanda Kimberley’s Hellenic Island Series. Each is a stand-alone, paranormal, romantic suspense story set in the FUC world created by Eve Langlais. You do not need to have read any of those books to start this series.

It is not necessary to have read THE TURTLE AND THE HARE prior to THE TURTLE AND THE ROCK, but I think it would have helped in understanding the background of Zagan.

This is a fabulous, quick read and a wonderful addition to the world of the FUC Academy.

Teo and Treasure are so fated that they have been promised to each other before they even met! When they met, they didn’t know to whom each had been betrothed; they thought this was a fling before family obligations set in… Fate will smile down on them once they get passed the surprise. Of course, it’s not as simple as that. Zagan (who kind of reminded of me of Shredder from the old TMNT shows) has his own evil plot in motion and must be dealt with before Happily-Ever-After can be theirs.

Shifter Romance hits all of my happy buttons and this is a wonderful light read that made me content.

This is a great fun story that you will enjoy from start to finish. After years of avoid her betrothed, Treasured boss arranged a missing that lands her on the island with Theo. Treasure and Theo's story is well written and a delight to read.

Oh my, the anacronyms right off the bat, especially about the Shifter Hellenic Island Talks was so funny! Who and what is Teo? Who or what is Zagan? Who is Treasure? Where is she working and what does she do? Where is she from? What do we learn about her? The anacronyms moving forward had me chuckling. What and where is Milos Island? Why do we find Treasure talking to herself? Who are Harriet and Lear? How does Treasure know them? Oh, goodness, how Treasure meets Teo is a hoot! This book was so much fun to read. I look forward to reading more from this author. This was my first book by Ms. Kimberly. It was entertaining and the anacronym pun plays were fabulous! Enjoy the read!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. The Turtle and The Rock by Amanda Kimberley is part of the FUC World created by Eve Langlais. This is my first Amanda Kimberley read and I really enjoyed her writing style. This fast paced quick read is loaded with action, double entendres, simmering chemistry and humor. I loved the quick and easy way Teo and Treasure clicked when they first met. The circumstances and outcome of the story was sweet and very satisfying! A great addition to the FUC World of reads,

This whole story annoyed me. I don't even know what half of this book was about . They meet and like each other, suddenly the betrothed issue was put in to play with practically no context. The bad guy was glossed over and felt like a token add in. The relationship had no flow, on then off then maybe off maybe on suddenly after asking for time it is suddenly in again and so on. The characters were all lacking depth.
I'm sad as I have come to expect more from the fucna world of books. I'm so disappointed in this book and tbh it is most definitely not worth the money.
