About the authors
During the last two decades, Henry Snider has dedicated his time to helping others tighten their writing through critique groups, classes, lectures, prison prose programs, and high school fiction contests. He co-founded Fiction Foundry (est. 2012) and the award-winning Colorado Springs Fiction Writer’s Group (1996-2013). Thirteen years to the month from founding the CSFWG, he retired from the presidency. After a much needed vacation, he returned to the literary world. While still reserving enough time to pursue his own fiction aspirations, he continues to be active in the writing community through classes, editing services, and advice. Henry lives in Colorado with his wife, fellow author and editor Hollie Snider, son – poet Josh Snider and numerous neurotic animals, including, of course, Fizzgig, the token black cat.
Stacey Jaine McIntosh was born in Perth, Western Australia where she still resides with her husband and four children.
Although her first love has always been writing she once toyed with being a Cartographer and subsequently holds a Diploma in Spatial Information Services.
In 2011 she had her first short story Freya published in an anthology, since that time more stories have followed.
Stacey dedicated her novel Solstice to her mother who passed away unexpectedly in 2008, and she is currently working on several other novels simultaneously.
When not with her family or writing she enjoys photography, genealogy, history, Arthurian myths and witchcraft.

His fiction and poetry has appeared in Nightmare Magazine, Shortwave Magazine, Helios Quarterly, Worlds of Possibility, Tiny Nightmares, Star*Line, Space and Time Magazine, Speculative Fiction for Dreamers, Savage Realms Monthly, and Hexagon Magazine, among others.

David is a practicing physician who lives to write instead of writing to live. He is a split class writer/academic surgeon with several cat-familiars and a wife. He tries to follow Monty Python's advice by always looking on the bright side of life, but has only needed to be rescued by the Judean Peoples Front on rare occasions. His website can be found at: https://davidmhoenig.wordpress.com/about/
He's working on his first novel, which is close to completion of the latest revision, and is about halfway through his next.

I'm the author of several short stories, flash fiction and microfiction of horror and contemporary that have appeared in magazines/anthologies such as Long Story Short, One Forty Fiction, Trembling With Fear, Speculative 66, and A Medley of Fiction. One of my proudest work was a story entitled "Tornado Luck" published in a charity anthology benefiting hurricane victims called Stories of Strength which also included writings from Orson Scott Card, Jenna Glatzer and Wil Wheaton. I completed the "Basics of Writing" course from Long Ridge Writers Group in 2008. My latest work appeared in Chronos: An Anthology of Time Drabbles and have work forth coming in DeadCades Anthology, Nothing's Sacred Vol 4 Magazine and Drabbledark II Anthology.

Peter got locked in a bookstore as a child and has been reading his way to freedom ever since.
His first tales developed from Dungeons & Dragons campaigns that never got played, and watching Babylon 5 on repeat. After having several dozen short stories published through various publishers, Peter has switched to longer forms of writing.
The science fiction “Consensus” novels depict one family’s struggle in the face of alien invasion, and the “Vol’kris Chronicles” are a series of standalone tales that explore humanity’s misadventures in a world ruled by insects.

David Bowmore was born on a winter’s night with the sound of thunder and the flash of lightning welcoming him into a brightly painted Gypsy caravan. Forty-five years later he started writing fiction. After a steep learning curve, his short stories and flash fiction began to appear in various collections.
A classically trained chef, a personable teacher and unqualified landscape gardener, David has lived here, there and everywhere, but currently dwells in Yorkshire with his wonderful wife and a small white poodle.
David tends to write thrillers and mysteries as well as stories with a touch of the supernatural about them. He focuses on character and the oddities of being human, sometimes with humour, but more often with dark unreality.
When he was younger, he had a love of science fiction and fantasy. In adult life his reading tastes veered towards thrilling mysteries, particularly Golden Age crime. You know the sort of thing – country house murders where everyone is a suspect, impossible locked room mysteries with more red herrings than your local fishing hole.
David is an admirer of many authors including Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Eric Ambler, Patricia Highsmith, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Elmore Leonard, Stephen King, and P.G. Wodehouse.
Since his first published story, 'Sins of The Father' appeared in Vortex, published by Clarendon House in 2018, David has featured in more than seventy-five short story anthologies, journals and magazines.
In 2020, The Magic of Deben Market was enacted by BookStreamz with actors from across the globe comparing his work to 'Tales of The Unexpected' and 'Inside No. 9'

Thomas Vaughn writes speculative fiction and dark magical realism. He emerged from the debris field of rural Arkansas. He uses his fiction to mediate the delusional realities generated by a culture that is growing increasingly psychotic. When he is not writing fiction he works as a college professor with a research focus in apocalyptic rhetoric.
M. M. MONTELIONE is a horror writer and historian born and raised on Long Island in New York. His work has been published in "HATE: A Dark Drabbles Anthology" and "Retro Horror," among other titles.
For a young Scott Harper growing up in 1970’s Southern California, the world was just a tad dull and unimaginative. He found a creative outlet in the world of Marvel Comics, fervidly devouring the monthly adventures of Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain America. Later, his tastes turned toward the Marvel black and white magazines’ more esoteric horror province, faithfully following titles such as Dracula Lives! and Tales of the Zombie. Influenced by these works and such great authors as Bram Stoker, John Steakley, and Marv Wolfman, Scott’s unique writing style combines horror and fantasy elements with superhero-style action. When not writing, Scott spends his time either reading, working out at the gym, adding to his model collection, or walking his two dogs. He lives in California with his wife and son.

Neen Cohen is an Australian Sapphic Speculative Fiction author, and lives in Brisbane with her partner, son and fur babies. She has a Bachelor of Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology and is a member of the Springfield Writer's Group. She's had a multitude of 'day jobs' to pay the bills but her heart has always been in the art of marking dead trees with squiggles of ink and graphite.
When she’s not running after her son, spending time with her partner or working at the current 'day job', she can often be found writing while sitting against a tombstone or tree in any number of graveyards. She's also discovered a new found passion for throwing sharp objects at thick pieces of wood and tries to squeeze at least 30 hours in to each day because sleep is for the weak.
Ximena is an emerging Author of short stories and poetry.
Originally from Chile, she is the author of a translation into Spanish of the Broadway Musical "The Wizard of OZ" (2011), and of an original adaptation of the same, "Navidad en OZ" (2018). Having started a family in the UK 2005, it took her a while to feel confident enough to write in English, despite speaking it since childhood. In the meantime, she ran her own business teaching extra-curricular Spanish in primary schools, and telling "traditional stories with a twist", in schools and festivals, with "Pie in the Sky Storytellers". Though her degree in Communication Science set her aspirations on writing for the screen, she has, since resuming writing in 2018, devoted her time to poetry, short stories and micro fiction. Whilst her first novel waits to be written, she is enjoying every minute of this exploration through different literary genres.

An Amazon bestselling author of horror and dark fiction, Drew Starling is a husband and dog dad who loves strong female leads, martial arts, and long walks in the woods with canine companions. Tim Mendees is a rather odd chap. He's a horror writer from Macclesfield in the North-West of England that specialises in cosmic horror and weird fiction. A lifelong fan of classic weird tales, Tim set out to bring the pulp horror of yesteryear into the 21st Century and give it a distinctly British flavour. His work has been described as the love-child of H.P. Lovecraft and P.G. Wodehouse and is often peppered with a wry sense of humour that acts as a counterpoint to the unnerving, and often disturbing, narratives.
Tim is the author of over one hundred published short stories and novelettes, seven novellas, and two short story collections. He has also curated and edited several cosmic horror-themed anthologies.
When he is not arguing with the spellchecker, Tim is a goth DJ with a weekly radio show on The Feelgood Station, and the co-presenter of the Innsmouth Book Club Podcast & Strange Shadows: The Clark Ashton Smith Podcast. He currently lives in Brighton & Hove with his pet crab, Gerald, and an ever-increasing army of stuffed octopods.

My name is Andrew Kurtz and I am a horror author.
I have not published any novels as of yet, but am in numerous anthologies, which you can view by going to my author link.
As a child I have loved horror, whether it was watching a horror film or reading horror literature.
I am a comic book collector and have an extensive library of book, mainly horror and science fiction.
If you ask me what my favorite horror film is, I can not answer because there are so many that I love.
Jason Voorhees murders at CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE, Michael Myers slaughters in HADDONFIELD, Freddy Kruger causes nightmares on ELM STREET, and I write horror short stories.
My vampires do not drink blood, they devour it. The werewolves in my stories do not resemble four legged dogs, but bipedal monstrosities that have an undying bloodlust during the full moon.
If you are looking for happy endings then do not read my stories because will be disappointed.
My characters die in the most gory manner possible and whether the are new born infants or 90 year old does not matter.
We all love dogs and cats. In my stories they are torn to pieces while still alive.
My human monsters are not who they seem to be because my tales of terror are full of twists and turns.
Nikki DeKeuster invites you to sit with her around the fire as she weaves you dark tales of mischief, mayhem, and mad love. Stories that stick to your ribs long after the lights have been doused and your head hits the pillow.
She enjoys crunching leaves underfoot while exploring the bluffs of Lake Michigan with her daughter and husband.

Evan Baughfman works in a very scary place: a middle school! (He’s a teacher.) He writes all genres, but horror is where he’s most comfortable. His horror fiction has been published in numerous anthologies, including titles from Improbable Press, 4 Horsemen Publications, No Bad Books Press, and Grinning Skull Press. Evan has also adapted a number of his short prose works into screenplays, of which "The Tell-Tale Art," “A Perfect Circle,” and “The Creaky Door” have won awards in various film festival competitions.
Additionally, much of Evan's writing success has been as a playwright. He’s had many different plays produced across the globe. His children's play, “R.O.M.3.O. and Julia” (Romeo and Juliet with robots) has been published in PLAYS Magazine. His play for young adults, “Lipstick and Heroics,” is available through YouthPLAYS, as is Evan's all-ages script, "Sprout Wants Out". Where this book stands out is that there is a huge variety to the stories. All are set in the 1920's, but it was a decade with many historical moments as well as flavors to life. Flappers, mobsters, Prohibition, King Tutankhamen's tomb, the stock market crash, poverty, wealth. Name it and there was a story about it.
Adding to the 1920's theme of the collection is the horror element. Vampires, mummies, gangsters, aliens, psychological thrills. They're all there. Whatever leaves you unsettled, you'll find at least one, if not many, stories in this book to satisfy your craving.
I would note which stories stood out to me, but it's a completely subjective opinion. What's not is that all of the stories are well-written and interesting. There's a wonderful diversity and I highly recommend this book.
