3 solid stats but I didn’t care for this story. I really wanted to like it but I felt the book dragged with rehashing events that we already saw in Hawk’s book. The sex scenes were just okay and the book to me didn’t get good until the 80% mark and left a lot of questions unanswered which I guess we will get in the next installment. This series is more about the bigger bigger of the church and what really happened to the sister vs the individual couples.

The reveal was interesting but I felt like it was written in a way to purposely throw off the reader from figuring it out. And it should have been revealed earlier so the reader could really see what the dynamic could/would be between them all. And Ari........that whole side story at the end felt thrown in to close some loose ends. That didn’t work with me either.

I’m more curious about Many than anyone else. And this is what I thought he story would be about.

This book needs to come with a WARNING. Do NOT read while eating or drinking. May result in choking or spitting. OOPs and overheating. OMG Ms. Tiya Rayne I loved this book. The fight scenes were so descriptive it was like watching an action movie, the sex scenes require ice water and a fan and Seth's shenanigans and the scenes between Priest and Ari had me holding my ribs and laughing out loud. No SPOILER but Tiya always includes something that makes you scream Wait! hold up a minute? Then you either have to review the entire book in your head or just re-read it. I can't wait for book # 3.

Girl you put both feet into this book. Seth & Lucien were BOTH ALPHA, and Malia was a Mama Bear when it came to protecting Emory, and Grandma wasn’t your typical sweet old grandma, she was a gangster Grandma. She would do anything to protect her girls. Lucien & Seth’s ability were amazingly good and accurate when the situation called for it, as well as deadly. I’m beginning to love Priest, and I cannot wait for his story. Thank you for the little back story on how priest came about getting each of his recruits, but I need More so much more on them; who’s up NEXT??? Awesome Job Tiya.

The epilogue saved it…

And the Priests story after…
For me the first real sexual encounter wasn’t found until chapter 26, and it was nothing extraordinary whatsoever.

The sexual tension reaches a climax in Chapter 35…but too much needless chatter.
I began Flipping pages, speed reading my way through endless dialogue that provided no impact, consequence or forward movement to the story.
Once the leads finally gave into the long awaited, built up sexual anticipation, It was a let down. The scene…On a floor, with her hands bound and little of the sensuality that built Lucien to the man of her dreams throughout the first 34 chapters.
Their encounter in chapter 38 was much better.

By that time, I was tired of the Twins chasing the villain and I was ready for the book to be over….Chapter 40 and I was rolling my eyes… seriously?
After the revelation in chapter 42, more speed reading and quick scrolling. Then chapters 45-47 happened… I didn’t know whether to roll my eyes, grumble or both, as the rush of details brought the story all together in the final chapters.

This wasn’t terrible. The epilogue brought me back to why I’ve liked this series.
Book 1 was better.
I’ve just been tired lately of books with too much going on. A simple, sex filled, sappy love story would be nice.
Any suggestions?

The wait for the second in "The Church" series was well worth the wait. I literally devoured this book in one day. This is my second book from this author and her writing and story telling him be nail biting waiting for the next fix. This follows story follows Malia and the Twins Lucian and Seth. Without giving away.the story I will start by saying things are not what they seem. I loved the character of Malia she might of had her hangs ups about relationships but that did not stop her for protecting her family. Grams was a breakout character for me and we all need a Grams like that she didn't play with her girls. I loved both twins although Seth took a moment for me but once I got to see is character I felt he deserves his happy ending. Does he get? You will have to read for yourself.

I have to say I called those two surprises one I had been suspecting since book one. Can't wait for the next installment. Girl I'm full and thanks for serving such a great plate 😀.

Wow, Tiya this series just keep on getting better! Hawk was amazing, but Twins blew me away! From Malian, to Grams and Emory!!!! Great way to incorporate the brotherly love between the deacons and then the love a woman and her child to a person that other people would consider Crazy! Now the sex scene me turning on my fan with a tall glass of ice water and sending my kids and grandkids on home early!!!!! You did the Dam Thang with this Book and I can't wait to read Priest Story!!!!!

I couldn't wait for the second book in the church series and it didn't disappoint. Tiya Rayne's writing skills made me fall in love even more with these perfect, imperfect men.
