Stephanie Bond was several years into a corporate computer programming career when an instructor in her evening MBA program remarked she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit a project to academic journals. First thank you for making my dads last few books he read this one. He immediately had me search for more in this series. On August 5th he read his last book at the age of 99. He loved your humor. He raised 5 sassy daughters who also love reading your novels..he made 30 trips to Sword beach Normandy, unloading troupes and artillery, when assigned to the Royal Navy during WWII..a true Coast Guard veteran. His dad was second generation Scotsman. Thad Hollenbeck Kyd was a true fan of yours. The power of a great book makes life so much happier.

I was looking for a fun, light, summer mystery and really enjoyed this one! I enjoyed her writing style and humor throughout the book. If you are looking for a fun, female led mystery this is for you. I found myself having a hard time putting it down and finished it way too fast and had to go find the 2nd one. I like that some of the questions are answered by the end of the book, but not all... definitely made me want to read more!

I have read many of Stephanie Bond's books and this one is as much fun as the others. The sisters in Two Guys Detective Agency are so different -- for Linda, I wanted to get to her house pronto to help her and start straightening up. (I substituted by cleaning out my freezer.) I feel better now. And the other sister Octavia (Susan), I wanted to strangle -- well, not literally -- but she needed an attitude adjustment and a little love. Yet, she's also no nonsense and can get anything done even if it's way out of the box. Lots of interesting chaos going on. You will be thoroughly entertained! I am looking forward to the next book on the Two Guys.

This first book in a new series had me forgetting my schedule for the day. I intended to just read a chapter, but Ms. Bond has created such a delightful couple of characters and a refreshingly unique plot,
well.....you know what happened. The two distinctly different sisters ( on the surface) find that in the midst of heartbreak and more stress and trouble, the bond of family will help in the darkest of times. In spite of sadness and mystery, the plot is woven with humor and great dialogue. Don't want to give more away, but I will be counting the months until the second in this series is released. 3. I am looking for her next book in the series.
Once I started reading this book could not put it down.......and wanted another in the series. Alas we have to wait until she writes it.

Loved this book. It was predictable- one snotty rich sister who looks down upon the economically challenged underdog sister. But the underdog sister has to come to the rich sisters rescue. Even though I've read the same plot line a million times, I loved loved the spin Stephanie Bond put on it. There was a light humor thread that ran through the book that is the trademark of all Bond books. This book is your definite pick for a relaxing read.

The first Bond book I ever read was the hilarious "Our Husband." Now, she has come out with a new series. Two Guys Detective Agency is the right blend of humor, and mystery. It is a fun, quick read, and I cannot wait for their next adventure to be published.
I must add that there are just enough loose ends, not tied up in this book, to have me hoping for their resolution in the next of the series.
