About Twyla Turner
Twyla Turner (1978- ) was born in Joliet, Illinois and was almost immediately enamored with all things entertainment and yearned for something "more". She wrote her first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating a whole world from her mind. But it was a long winding road to self-publishing her first novel Star-Struck. An interest in science and animals, to wanting to be the next Oprah, majoring in radio/television with a minor in creative writing, to a year in Japan, four years in California and then to Arizona where a trip to spiritual Sedona awakened something in her and the need to write finally hit her like a brick wall. And once she started, the ideas flooded her brain like she never dreamed possible. Her love of romance and travel, as well as her struggle with body image and the male species combined into wanting to write romance for 'real' women. She has 11 books to date and one novella and her dark romance trilogy The Damaged Souls Series was a 2015 Amazon Bestseller. She has become known as a champion for the underdog and she's only just getting started.

Blog postI know it has been awhile since I've blogged on here. I have truly neglected my website. I so need a PA! Blog postSo I hear tell that there's some drama going on in the literary world. I don't know exact specifics because I refuse to be pulled into high school bullshit. I'm too old for that crap, and it's not like I participated in it when I was in high school.Anyway, I've heard and felt that it can be very cliquish within certain groups. Blog postIt's been awhile since I've posted anything, but after seeing a particular critique that I have gotten quite a few times from readers. I felt it was time to clarify.Often times I get reviews where readers don't like how quickly my main characters fell in love. They wished that it took longer for the couple to fall in love. Well, when you get a Twyla Turner novel, just know that more than likely, the couple will fall fast. Why?1. It's FICTION. This is not a memoir. It's not an autobiography. It's6 years ago Read more

Blog postFirst and foremost, I would like to say...I'm not a #1 Bestselling Author as of yet (still holding out hope though), but I am making strides towards that goal. How, you ask? My readers. Don't get me wrong, I know that spending some time (and maybe money) on marketing and promoting are very important, but when it comes to books, there is absolutely unequivocally no promoting in the world that is better than word-of-mouth!So in this, I have to give much love and thanks to my readers. Blog postSo I felt the need to write this post based off of criticism myself and other authors have received. I am a Black female and believe that my race of women are hands down, some of the most beautiful women in the world. Blog postHas anyone else felt anonymous in their writing/other career? I know I have. When I started this journey as an Indie author, I had no idea of the scope of other Indie authors out there. Not counting the authors that are backed by traditional publishing houses. Blog postI say we should dream big, or what is the point in even trying. Sometimes I think it's programmed in us to believe we have to fit in with masses. That we can't ask for more from life than what we're getting or what everyone else has. And for women we're expected to settle down, get married, have kids and build our lives around our family. The Present
Jett Johnson has always felt inadequate next to her petite, light-skinned, slender twin sister, Nic. At six-feet-tall, a size 22, and flawless obsidian skin she has always been cast aside for her sister in their community, among men, and even their own mother. If she had to hear "You're TWINS?!" one more time, she'd scream.
The final straw comes when Jett finds her sister in her bed with her husband. Fed up and ready to leave everything behind in NYC, Jett decides to start over in Portland, Maine of all places.
The Past
Believed to be dead after an epic battle, Viking chieftain Jerrik Rolfson is given a funeral fit for a king. The only problem is, he's not dead. The poison coursing through his veins has left him paralyzed and unable to speak. At the mercy of the deadly sea, his body is carried into a mysterious fog.
Their Times Collide
On her daily morning walk in her new town, Jett finds a charred and badly broken longboat capsized against the giant rocks along the coast of Maine. Lying inside appears to be one of the most beautiful and biggest men she's ever seen. Finding him still alive, she jumps into action to get him help.
Once he's awake, Jerrik finds himself in a strange place surrounded by strange people. Only the stunning dark-skinned woman he'd seen in what he thought was his dreams could calm the massive Viking.
Jett doesn't know if the large man is crazy or delusional. But wanting to help, she's now found herself as the sole caretaker of a giant man who believes himself to be a Viking Laird from the past.
What could possibly go wrong?
Bound Through Time: Present is the highly anticipated second book in the Viking Brothers Series. Filled with laughs, adventure, danger, and heat. Perfect elements for an epic time travel romance.

Noelle is tired of her family and coworkers butting into her love life or lack thereof. For once she'd like to go to her family dinner and company party, and not have to answer why she has no one special. So, when she sees one of those funny Holiday Boyfriend Specials posted on social media, instead of scrolling by she decides to see if he'd seriously consider a real offer.
Jake's family won't get off his back about his lack of girlfriend every holiday. His mother wants to see him happy and wants some grandchildren before she gets too old. So, when he gets a message from a beautiful woman after his online joke, he decides to give it a shot, if it'll keep his mom quiet for another year.
Little did they know that their attraction would be hot enough to light the North Star. But coming from two different worlds could threaten their budding connection, and stop in its tracks what had started out as a joke but turned into something real.
The Holiday Boyfriend is a sexy, sweet novella guaranteed to warm your coldest winter nights and get you in the holiday spirit.

Simone Dyani Staton yearns for family after losing parents at a young age. So in the search for a sense of belonging, Simone journeys to the wild landscape of Alaska to meet her mother's estranged native tribe, hoping that they will accept her half-breed heritage.
Never finding much interest in men, Simone's romantic experiences can be summed up to one brief chaste kiss in high school. So imagine her surprise when she is confronted with an intense attraction to her two gorgeous Alaskan tour guides. And just as surprising, the attraction seems mutual. But how can she choose between the two best friends?

Her exotic looks and curvy body hidden behind horn-rimmed glasses, chastity and a shy demeanor have them dying to possess her.
The question is, will that same innocence that brought them to their knees, send her running in the other direction when they reveal their darkest desires? Or if they are lucky enough to get a taste of her, can they willingly let her go when her journey is over?
Find out in this exploration of erotic self-discovery and finding where one truly belongs.
