About the authors
Christian Saunders, who writes fiction as C.M. Saunders, began writing in 1997, his early fiction appearing in several small-press titles and anthologies. His first book, Into the Dragon's Lair - A Supernatural History of Wales was published in 2003. After graduating with a degree in journalism from Southampton Solent university he worked extensively in the freelance market, contributing to numerous international publications including Fortean Times, Chat, Its Fate! Bizarre, Urban Ink, Enigma, Record Collector, Nuts and Maxim, and a regular column to the Western Mail newspaper. He has also held desk jobs at several newsstand magazines including Nuts, Forever Sports and Coach.
Since returning to dark fiction he has had stories published in Screams of Terror, Shallow Graves, Dark Valentine, Fantastic Horror, Unbroken Waters, Gore magazine, The Literary Hatchet and others, as well as several anthologies. These works have been collected in his X series of short fiction, which currently stands at four volumes. His novellas Apartment 14F, Out of Time, Dead of Night, Devil's Island, No Man's Land: Horror in the Trenches and Human Waste are available now, as is his acclaimed historical novel Sker House. His latest release is Tethered, on Terror Tract Publishing.

Thomas M. Malafarina (www.ThomasMMalafarina.com) is a horror fiction author from Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was born July 23, 1955, in Ashland, Schuylkill County, PA where he lived until moving to Berks County in 1979. Many of Thomas’s stories take place in his native Schuylkill County as well as Berks County settings.
To date, he has published eight horror novels What Waits Beneath, Burner, From The Dark, Circle Of Blood, Dead Kill Book 1: The Ridge of Death, Dead Kill Book 2: The Ridge Of Change, Dead Kill Book 3: The Ridge Of War and Death Bringer Jones, Zombie Slayer Volume 1. He has published ten collections of horror short stories; Thirteen Deadly Endings, Ghost Shadows, Horror Classics, Undead Living, Malaformed Realities Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3, Vol. 4, Vol. 5 and most recently Vol. 6. Volumes 7 and 8 to be released in the near future. He has most recently published four volumes of single panel cartoong in a series called Yes, I Smelled It Too: Cartoons for the Hopelessly Off Center” Volumes 1 through 4. Thomas’ cartoons have also appeared in Twisted Pulp Magazine and he has illustrated two cartoon books, “Charles” and “Charles: Remember To Dismember” through Screaming Eye Press. Thomas has developed a system for organizing files in MS Office called Link-Tuit and has published that through Crave Press.
In addition, many of Thomas’ stories have appeared in more than 200 anthologies and e-magazines. Some have been produced and presented for internet podcasts and radio plays as well. Thomas has shared anthology pages with some of the biggest names in horror fiction such as Jack Ketchum, Joe Lansdale, Jonathan Maberry, and Lucky McKee to name a few.
Thomas is best known for the twists and surprises in his stories as well as his descriptive, often gory passages. Thomas is also an artist, musician, singer, and songwriter.
Paul was born and raised in New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University. Aside from writing, he works as a field archaeologist, excavating prehistoric and historic sites, and exhuming graves. He is an affiliate member of the Horror Writers Association.
His ebooks (formerly from Musa Publishing) were "Dead Reckoning" and "Kaishaku." He has stories in the "Undead Living" anthology (Sunbury Press), "Creature Stew" (Papa Bear Press), and the "Coming Back" anthology (Thirteen O'clock Press). Raised in the Pocono Mountains, Catherine Jordan is inspired by comeuppance and Flannery O’Connor. Catherine’s writing has been featured in a variety of anthologies. She is the review coordinator for horrortree.com, the email announcement manager for HWA (active member), and edits at Fortress Publishing. Ms. Jordan has judged writing awards, and she facilitates creative writing courses and critique groups. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark sparked her horror writing, and she is thrilled to be included in the fourth installment, Don’t Turn Out the Lights: A Tribute to Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Her first novel, Seeking Samiel, came out in 2012. It did well enough to inspire more. Ms. Jordan lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and five children.

Joseph Rubas is the author of over 200 short stories, many nonfiction pieces, several novels, and a nonfiction book. His work has appeared in: The Horror Zine; Eschatology Journal; Nameless Digest; The Storyteller; Horror Bound Online; and many others. His short fiction is collected in Pocketful of Fear (2012) and After Midnight (2014). He currently resides with his family in Florida.
Michael Collins is an eight-year veteran Sergeant in one of the largest police departments in the country. He received a B.A. in Dramatic Writing from The University Of Michigan and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Boston University. When he's not busy working the streets or spending time with his family, he likes to write short stories. He hopes to entertain his readers by combining his two favorite genres: the police procedural and horror fiction.
