Carla Alvarez is a mother to three and a graduate of HBU's Masters in Apologetics program. Her philosophy in both business and apologetics is if what we think affects what we do, then the "how" is just as important as the "what." As actions have a lasting impact, it is of utmost importance to develop right thoughts. She creates effective communications for clients at Legacy Marketing Services (www.legacymarketingservices.com) and writes about the Christian faith at RaisedtoWalk.org (www.raisedtowalk.org).

Jason holds a B.A. from York College where he studied English and Psychology; he also has his M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Houston Baptist University. He resides in Spearfish, SD, in the beautiful Black Hills. His primary research interests are Inklings Studies, Philosophy of Science, and Catholic Theology. Some of his favorite activities are cantoring, drumming, teaching RCIA at church, and hiking the Black Hills.
Annie Nardone is a C.S. Lewis Institute Fellow with a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Apologetics from Houston Baptist University. She contributes and edits for the apologetics quarterly An Unexpected Journal at www.anunexpectedjournal.com and also for purchase on Amazon. Her newest release is Wild Things and Castles in the Sky - A Guide to Choosing the Best Books for Children (available Spring 2022) Annie is contributor to the online magazine Cultivating and Managing Editor for Cultivating Resources and Recommendations at www.thecultivatingproject.com. Her Facebook sites Literary Life and Literary Life Book of the Month feature reviews on classical and recent books with a focus on the enduring beauty and truth found in literature and art. She wrote an historical cookbook for Bright Ideas Press. Her sincere belief is in the significance and reintegration of the arts and humanities with theology and the Christian imagination. She homeschooled her three kids for twenty-five years and teaches art, creative writing, and humanities. Annie resides with her Middle Earth/Narnia/Hogwarts-loving family, piles of books, and a large assemblage of cats.

Cherish Nelson is an Associate Professor of Humanities at Kankakee Community College and the communications director at Kankakee Asbury United Methodist Church. She has a B.A. in English from Olivet Nazarene University and an M.A. in Apologetics from Houston Baptist University. She is a contributor to the literary apologetics journal An Unexpected Journal. Her apologetic work examines the theology of horror, the problem of evil, and theology in pop culture.
