I don't know which is more adorable Kate Micucci or her pets

I don't know which is more adorable Kate Micucci or her pets, with and without fur! I thought I knew the whole premise by the trailer, but the story much exceeded my expectations. More than a few laugh out loud moments, and in general just makes you smile...a lot!. Casting is spot on, Sean Aston as always is great and Hana Mae Lee, so under used in Pitch Perfect really shines. I've been a Kate Micucci fan since 'Raising Hope', so nice to see her in a movie that showcases all her talents, art, song and her perfect comedic timing. I'm very much a dog person who knew I would enjoy the cat so much?! Unleashed is as charming as it is funny.

Meow! and Woof!

My dog has been long gone (died years ago) but my cat is alive and snoozing at the foot of the bed right now. It is the perfect time to watch this movie.

When I first saw 'Unleashed,' I thought: this is so 'indie.' Now, I appreciate that it is not a big budget film with a great publicity campaign - although, if it were that, a lot more people would be watching! Instead, it's an imperfect little gem of an pet-lover's film. I say imperfect because there are some plot twists that are awkward only because they are so difficult to resolve. Yet, the movie does wind to a satisfactory conclusion. Anyone who has ever lost a cat will know what I mean!

I watched 'Unleashed' again and it was more delightful the second time around. More time to appreciate the nuances of a dog or a cat. I especially liked the way the cat moves once he becomes a human. Not just graceful. Cat-like!

This is a sweet, lovely, funny movie. I will save it for a rainy day and watch it again.

Fantastic fun. Will watch again, but then again and again for Justin Chatwin’s performance!

This movie is one of the sweetest I’ve ever watched. It is silly and fun, with great performances. Emma, an app developer, gets robbed and dumped by her boyfriend. I like that the movie doesn’t spend a lot of time on the end of the relationship. A few minutes into the movie we’re into the fun. Emma adopts a Yellow Lab and a fluffy black and white cat who become her best, most trusted friends. Some planet alignment magic happens one night, the pets run off and become human, but with definite animal instincts and habits. I laughed a lot while they tried to get back with Emma without her knowing who they are.

Kate Micucci is not the typical romcom leading lady, but she delivers her lines with impeccable timing and has the most wonderful expressions. She and Sean Astin have great chemistry. Steve Howey is adorable as the buff, goofy, desperate to please Summit/Sam. Hana Mae Lee is delightful as the work best friend. But oh my goodness, Justin Chatwin just STEALS scene after scene with his sultry, slinky, sexy feline performance. He never breaks character - his walk, posture, movement, all make you think he’s part cat. He’s sexy to begin with, but when he struts out, sleekly groomed and in gorgeous clothes, he is one beautiful man/animal.

I honestly don’t know why Chatwin doesn’t get more leading man roles. He is such a good actor, with great comic instincts, and gorgeous.

If you’re looking for a smart, lighthearted, feel-good romcom, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Wonderful film
Verified purchase
I bought this DVD three, yes THREE, times -- for myself, and two additional ones for friends, after watching it twice in two separate limited screenings in Los Angeles. It was the funniest movie I saw in 2016/2017. It's super unique in its spot-on portrayal of what dogs and cats would act like if they were manifested as humans. I don't think there is another movie out there like this, and if there is, it's not as well done as the performances by Justin Chatwin and Steve Howey. I was drawn to the film because of the delightful Kate Micucci, but was very surprised by Justin and Steve in this movie.

the greatest movie and she sings a little bit
Verified purchase
I watched to see if she sings. I love when she is in everything and sings funny songs. she was an art major in reality. we loved this funny. it was very silly. the guy who plays a cat is wonderful, just as a narcissist cat would be, but he does have feelings. the dog was reba mcentire's son-in-law on her show. unleashed is a wonderful title for this movie. some movies have names that don't even make any sense. this is the kind of feel good movie ,you want and need to be watching for your sanity ,in these upsetting times. we had no idea how wonderful this movie was. if you're going to be silly, go all the way. you will laugh out loud. we did and we don't normally.

Great ROM-COM with fantastic performances!
Verified purchase
One of THE funniest ROM-COMs I have ever seen. (my next fav is Best In Show). Yes I know it sounds like gushing but I laughed and laughed. The situation is familiar to many women. A man you trust steals from you..OK but that is not the crux of the film. It is about change, and finding love.
A rescue cat and dog become human and seek the owner they lost who is the young 20-something who was betrayed by the 'the guy'. All I can say is that the actor who played the cat-turned-human was absolutely amazing! Worth the watch just to see this performance.
I ended up buying the film I liked it so much. Very talented cast and direction was very well done. Watch it with a bowl of popcorn and say 'Awwww' at the end.

A funny story about a very shy girl mistreated by guys who turns to animals for love especially her cat and dog. And on a night with a full moon a cosmic type magic turns her cat and dog into real men. Both have to try to fit in and both go to love their ex owner. They end up helping A LOT of people and getting revenge on a very bad guy who did their owner very wrong. A very cute and funny story. Kate Micucci is awesome in it. The two guys who were cats and dogs acting human is VERY FUNNY. VERY WORTH watching or buying.

BOY was I happy I discovered it
Verified purchase
I had never heard of this movie but was looking through Amazon to see what was new and it caught my attention. BOY was I happy I discovered it. REALLY cute, fun movie. The two guys who play Ajax and Summit are absolutely FANTASTIC in their roles as a cat and dog and their behaviors are going to leave anyone who lives with cats and dogs thoroughly amused. The movie is not going to win any Oscars but is very entertaining. It reminded me of films from the 80's like SPLASH, MANNEQUIN and BIG that did such a good job of mixing magic with comedy and romance. After seeing the movie you're going to be looking at your pets wondering what type of humans they would make ;-)
