Dr. Brewer does a beautiful job of combining the scientific underpinning of how unwanted habits develop with an elegant, practical and dare I say, fun, way to address them. If you are tired of following other people's advice and want to learn how to listen to your own embodied experience more deeply, more mindfully, more kindly so that you can live a less encumbered and more joyful life - then buy this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Science to Hack your brain’s reward-based learning system to break free from cycles of fear & worry.

This is the second book that I’ve read from Dr. Brewer. “Unwinding Anxiety” is a great follow-up to “The Craving Mind” picking up on many of the foundational concepts explored previously. I recommend the book and the App, as proven (evidence-based), practical practices that work. If you have anxious thoughts or feelings, understanding the underlying habits that perpetuate them is nothing short of life-changing.
