I don't even know where to begin. I just love this series so much. This book and every book in this series highlights this author's love of books, reading, shared knowledge and friendship. That she also always adds a fascinating mystery is just an extra bonus. Nora and Sheldon are showcasing books for their Valentine's party or Blind Date Book Bash, centered around Sheldons book group, and other customers when Nora discovers a body while on her Sunday morning hike. How this mystery person ties into someone in town and the ripple affect it has on the secret, book, and scone society is life changing. A page turning book filled with, tears, joy and books!

I really enjoy this series and I'm not sure why. There's a tendency for the story to be too much like a Hallmark movie, but maybe we need that kind of sentimentality these days? I think it's Ellery Adams' writing and her characters. Whatever it is, you finish a book and wait impatiently for the next one to be published because it's never fast enough.

I really like the budding romance between Nora and the sheriff, but the characters are reminding me a lot of the main character and her romance from the Books by the Bay series. In case Ms. Adams reads these reviews, PLEASE DON'T DO THE SAME THING IN THIS SERIES!!!

i have greatly enjoyed the books i've read by this author and this one didn't disappoint. it was fantastic. i suppose it could be read as a stand alone, but it will definitely be better if you read the series in order. you get the back stories of the characters which explains so much. i've read several of the authors series and the ones i have read are very good, well written, engrossing mysteries with interesting historical facts or food facts included. my only complaint is that the series i have read ended after book 7 of each of the series and she moved on to other series. i could have enjoyed book 8, 9, &10 at least of all of them. well worth reading
