Reviews are important- use them wisely
I enjoyed watching this period piece. But the reviews are misleading. Most are complaining about the purchasing a season and only receiving one show at a time. First world problems. You could have clearly seen that only one episode was available. Get over yourselves. The show in and of itself is great. Good character development. You can clearly see how the two protagonist are working on building a relationship. I would recommend that you watch this show. I, myself, am eagerly looking forward to future episodes and seasons.

Misleading season purchase

I watched the free first episode and wanted to see more so I purchased the season. Unfortunately they are doled out one at a time and I didn’t need to pay for it as I can’t see the other episodes ahead of time. Also I made the mistake of purchasing it twice and sought the “cancellation” directions but they are incorrect and the “cancel” option doesn’t come up. Looks like I’m stuck...buyer beware.

What a ripoff!

They conned me into buying a season when only one episode had been broadcast so far.

No hint the whole season was still being boradcast for free on PBS stations Sunday evenings.

Guess Bezos is trying to make back some of the billions he had to give his wife in the divorce.

I wish to cancel this order inasmuch as I thought it was for the entire first season, but apparently is only episode 1.

similar to Sherlock Holmes, but serious, no humor

My daughter is a Sherlock Holmes fan, so I was excited to find a similar show for us to watch together.
We weren't excited to have bare breasts and the woman's pubic hair in the first episode, nor the full on sex act in following episodes; however, private areas were blurred in the next episodes. We are always disappointed when shows lower the quality of entertainment with sex and nudity instead of raising the bar of entertainment to remain interesting without sex and nudity. We will continue watching and are hopeful as the last episode redeemed itself.

Best Detective Series, Another Sherlock!

The setting of 1900s pre-WWI Austria is done perfection. Before the Holocaust there was a vibrant Jewish culture in Austria and Germany, especially in the sciences and arts. Vienna Blood showcases this while also showing the festering antisemitism and fascism. The show pulls no punches. The plot is well-crafted, the characters are great.

My only complaint is that (as with most British shows) there are ONLY 6 episodes in the first season! I wish British series had 13 or 22 episodes like their American counterparts.
