IF YOU DON'T KNOW, YOU SHOULD!!! BINGE WATCH VIKINGS!!!
Verified purchase
Took me a serious minute to get the show on my playlist. But when I finally decided to watch it I WAS HOOKED!!! Take Sons of Anarchy mix a little bit of Game of thrones and Real History and BAM WINNER!!!!! I keep telling my friends they don't know what they are missing. I'm kind of a history buff and I realized real quick how this era is MISSING from us. Never knew who King Ragnar was. But after watching this I started watching documentaries about the Real Ragnar, Ivor and Bjorn. Amazingly written, Perfection of Acting. Cinematography is stunning. This will go down as on of My all time favorite shows. I'm excited to see how far they take it. EVERY CHARACTER touches you, Whether it's good or bad, that's RARE with such a huge cast. Be careful if you're new to this. You might miss work, never leave your house for 2 weeks and miss showers and have your wife kill you. BUT it's so worth it!!!

Great lead part

Worth watching the last season just to see the great acting on the part of the lead. He can do so much with a stare and neck movement. Guy is great .

Vikings took me in and slew me!
Verified purchase
Vikings took me in and slew me! I have never seen anything on tv or the big screen that has/had immersed me in such captivation. For some time I didn't bother to watch it on the History channel, never did. Even after having Amazon's Prime Video I didn't bother. Oh,...but once I did I could not stop although I did try several times to keep from watching all the way through just to save time for later watching. No can do! I binged alright. I was brought to tears when Floki slew Aethelstan. Ragnar was blindsided and missed his friend and confidant. I was brought to tears before Ragnar busted out of that coffin, but that was the most foolhearty thing he'd done up till then. And yes, realizing the friendship Ragnar and Ecbert had with Aelthestan when Ragnar was negotiating his finality with Ecbert. I cried for both of them. Does that not make me a man? But the snake pit was too much for me, I could have stopped right there. But I couldn't. I was addicted, you might say. It is somewhat of a withdrawal til season 5. But i will no doubt binge again til then. Bravo History Channel!

My favorite show of all time rivaling Spartacus Season 1
Verified purchase
My favorite show of all time rivaling Spartacus Season 1. This show is incredible and I cannot wait to watch the next episode. Season 1, 2 and 3 were better than Season 4 parts 1 & 2, however I think this show is easily my favorite show of all time. I've been addicted to a series before, but never with the excitement I 've had for this show. The tragic ending to Ragnars life, and how it turned out was very sad, but still the season rolls on still being compelling and interesting. The actor is stellar in most cases, and the sets, the costumes, the personalities, the aging of characters...all is superb. I LOVE THIS SHOW!

A REAL MAN'S MOVIE.
Verified purchase
I just completed watching every episode of VIKING, truly it was worth the time, each story was powerful and surely a man's movie to see though it should be rated R because of the sexaul contents but overall well directed and well scripted, all the battle scenes were very creative and realistic.

If you haven't watched it. WATCH IT!!!

Vikings is by far the best show on TV right now. If you like Game of Thrones you will Love VIKINGS. Ragnar (main character) is super badass. You would think that it was created on HBO because of the gory nature of the show but History Channel knocks the show out of the park. 11 out of 10 would recommend

Absolutely Love Love Love this series
Verified purchase
Absolutely Love Love Love this series, please keep it going! Love the entire cast especially Ragnar. Travis Fimmel plays Ragnar brilliantly. I hope him and Kathryn Winnick (Lagertha) get back together in the series at some point. I just love Floki and his querky personality. This movie plays right into my love of history and the Viking's adventurous life, albeit, barbaric at times.

The production value in season 4 is 100 times better than the first season
Verified purchase
From a well written but fairly low budget beginning this show has advanced to be nothing short of epic. The production value in season 4 is 100 times better than the first season. I just got chills watching the episode where Odin appears to Ragnars sons. Just incredible.
