I was reluctant to read this since I don't like snake-like things. Although the Vori aren't snakes, they do have coils and scales along with some other, non-snakelike features. This is a new world and introduces several creatures. I immersed myself into this fascinating world and was held captive by the culture found there. Reggie was a strong female who had been kidnapped from Earth. She fights back to keep from having to go with the cruel creature that had her and instead manages to be just where she needs to be. Dr. Vadal was a caring doctor who has just finished studying different species. He is a researcher along with being a healer. Shaagra was Vadal's nest mate. He has emotional and physical damage, and was large and fierce. Walooth was a quiet, soft spoken man who was a friend of Vadal's as they were growing up and had wanted to be Vadal's nest mate. He was smaller than the other two but is definitely a sweetheart. I liked each of the characters for different reasons and I felt the author wrote them so well you really had a sense of who they were. There was a lot to overcome, some intense moments and some happy ones. I can't wait for the next book.

Reggie was a soon to be divorced woman that her parents weren't to happy with so she decided to go out and find herself a hot alien and get naughty but instead she found a weirdo who stole her from earth , drugged her and then woke her and then whipped and checked her afterwards. He had the nerve to take her to get vaccines and that's where she meets Dr. Nadal her future mate. That's all I will say because reading this book is so worth knowing what happens next and you won't regret it. I found this book to be fun to read just imagining the homes and the jungle and all the weirdness that came along with this story. Loved it.

This story by it self is strong and full of all the turn about that any good reverse harem should have.

The narration of the female was so so annoying and off putting I couldn’t enjoy the book.
I enjoy the audibles when I can so I can get a feel and debt a bit better for each character. When it’s done right the book can become amazing. For this book, I feel that it made it horrible to listen to.
The male narration was good, not great but good, and fit the characters well I believe.

Loved the new story. My only question was "Why didn't Earth have more involvement in this book?" Earth is so worked up about getting money for the mate index, but they didn't care about her getting taken? Maybe she wasn't reported as kidnapped because her family doesn't love her? I wish that was made more clear. It started out like there may be a confrontation based on the first few chapters, but then it was the race that originally abducted her that a threat. I was baffled by that, but otherwise, there was a decent plot and a wholesome romance. I really enjoyed the fact they weren't in Insta love, though a lot was skimmed over.

While the author's storielines are good she injects a lot of her personal issues into them. This would be fine except for the increasing repetition making it hard to read and boring after a while. EVERY SINGLE planet can't have the same issues with every male on them acting the same. They can't all be biologically bound to a mate unable to cheat, desperate due to the lack of females of their species, submissive, a broken toy for her to fix all while willing to fight to the death to keep her from any other male while still being sweet to her. Even in a fantasy you're not likely to get every trait you want and still being realistic enough to make it interesting. This particular story, while sweet, tends to make me feel like she adopted a pack of rescue dogs so grateful for attention they are willing to go belly up every time she looks slightly annoyed. I hope she injects some spine into the males in the next book. It would be nice to see a woman that didn't make me grimace in disgust by how weak and lacking in common sense she is too. Plus she needs to get a proofreader. The many instances of clumsy sentences and grammar issues on every page are driving me crazy.

I loved this story, lots of "aww" moments and several chuckles, but the fact that this book is in dire need of re-editing was off-putting. The story is built perfectly and the character development is great, as usual from this author. What I didn't expect were the spelling mistakes, missing or too many words and awkward sentence structure that kept on interrupting the reading flow, making me stop and mentally correct the mistake from start to finish. I've read so many of her books and really enjoyed most of them, so the severe lack of editing in this one really surprised me. That's usually not her style.
Story wise I'd love to give the book five stars, but the mistakes triggered my typo OCD to the point that I was tempted to not finish it. So it's four stars from me, instead.
It's as if the author used the dictation function instead of typing or went back to change a scene and only briefly checked it afterwards in orderto stick to the publishing deadline.... no time to edit it properly.

I really enjoyed this book and have looked forward to every book in this series. My only issue with this book and the others before, would be the editing which needs much more work done. Bad editing, spelling and grammer are one of my big pet peeves and unfortunately brought down the star rating to 3.

Can't wait for the continuation of the series though!
