The War Bride Club is the story of four young British ladies who marry American soldiers during World War II. They come over to America on a ship to start new lives with their husbands (men they don't really know all that well). They become close friends on the trip over and discuss their dreams and expectations with one another. Do their lives turn out like they dreamed and expected? Well, you just have to read the book to find out!
I really enjoyed this book. The four main characters were very likable and believable. (I like that in a book.) I liked the way the story alternated between the four women. The story moved along at just the right pace. The stories weren't told too quickly or drawn out. It was very easy to stay interested in the story. I wanted to get to the end to find out what happened but was sad because the story was over.
There are some editing mistakes which I find are common with ebooks but they do not distract from the story.
I will definitely recommend this book to family and friends as it is one of my new favorites!
