Mind your P's and Q's --and now, L's

A great feature of these socks is that each pair comes in 2 versions: one for the left foot (embroidered with an 'L' ) and one for the right foot (embroidered with an 'R'.) When the socks arrived I inspected each sock and was dismayed to find that each and every sock was embroidered with just an 'L.' I had nearly finished writing a note returning the socks (because each sock I received was only for the left foot) when my observant wife discovered that a separate embroidered 'R' or 'L' did exist on the socks--at each sock toe. The 'L' that I had noticed (embroidered near the ankle on each sock) was presumably to signify the sock's size: the L likely denoting that each sock was a size Large.

They feel great for about 3 or 4 uses then...

I only wore these about 3 or 4 times over the course of 8 weeks and they already have a hole. They seemed liek good quality socks when I first tried them on but they don't last. The other thing I did not like about them is they are sets of left and right socks. They have an "R" and an "L" printed on them so you know which foot but that is not much use when you are getting dressed in the dark and it also requires you to put in the extra effort of pairing them. This is twice as much work than socks that are all the same.

I found two socks had incomplete stitching, another had white colored stitching on the outside that appeared to be the result of mending a hole. And one sock had a loose thread that caused a run. This could be a bad run, but my initial impression of this product is very low quality.

Whenever I buy socks, I like to wash them before wearing. These socks turned a yellowish-white color. None of my other socks or white clothes in my wash did that. I guess, you get what you pay for.

At first these were great! Compression in all the right places, comfy and the L and R are just greatness for me. But after wearing them around the house with my slides they constantly pull or stretch forward. They don’t move from my ankle they just start flopping off my toes… just wear with closed toe shoes and they are great!
