No fantasy!

What a great movie. To bad it is closer to the truth then the average citizen thinks. Makes you wonder of how much we see on tv or read in the paper is real and how much is scripted. How would we ever know?

Basically a prequel to 2020/2021 disguised as a campy comedy

Saw this as a teenager and got a kick out of it. It was just a silly, fun film back then. I watched it again the other day for my personal research in diving into what’s really happening on the political stage now in 2020/2021, and behind the curtains, all they don’t let us see. It’s still a silly film but I realize now it’s more like reality. I think the makers were either trying to warn us/give us clues to what’s going really going on, or it’s predictive programming. Either way, it’s definitely a head nod to real life, not just a corny fiction film.

Relavant for all time...

I reached back to see this again because of current times, not that its not always relevant. I’ve matured more since the film came out so now the “smoke screen,” aka the “Wall” we are dealing with today is less of a distraction for me personally. I can see the systematic breakdown of government behind the scenes.

Thanks for making this available!

priceless performances

The movie is almost than 20 years old and yet it rings true today, although the political outrages of the day that it satirizes seem tame compared to what has transpired in reality since.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro deliver priceless performances. Anne Heche ties them together. Willie Nelson, Woody Harrelson provide perfect accents with their smaller roles.

The movie serves up some memorable lines and situations indelible on your memory.

It's just too bad we don't seem to have learned anything from its lesson.

When released, this was a funny spoof but it hits close to home with today's politics

I watched this old movie again because it is so relevant to contemporary politics (2017-18). I loved it as much now as I did when it first came out, though it has a much deeper meaning in today's world.

One of my all time favorite comedies.

Yeah, it's adult(it's rated "r" after all.
It's funnier than heck.
It has many fine performances by many fine actors who really seem to be enjoying the job.
It makes perfect sense- the King of spin played by Robert DeNiro a key trouble shooter that
they call when the stuff hits the fan.
" Why does the dog wag it's tail? It has a brain. If the tail had a brain it would wag the dog". Think about it!

Exceeded all Expectations

I was looking for this Movie for years. Whether on VHS or DVD, I kept looking and came across this listing, and this supplier, of a previously owned DVD. The price was perfect. I was expecting a slightly handled dvd with/without it's original packaging, with evidence of resting on shelves for a number of years. Arrival of item, exceeded all expectations. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the envelope to find a brand new, never viewed, still in the original packaging/security sealed and wrapped dvd. Clean, no damage to packaging anywhere. I haven't opened it yet, but I expect to have a great day of popcorn, and a few good movies. One of which will be Wag the Dog.

Great artistic commentary on pulling back the Wizards' Political Curtain of WWW (World Wide Wagging)

There is nothing new under the sun, and the types of manufactured crisises to distract from events in the film have happened throughout millennia of history (and in point of fact directly reflect some of the global issues at the time of filming in the 1990s).

Such manufactured events have simply become more sophisticated and easier to orchestrate / produce believable cultural and political illusions as technology advances to better falsely pose as the all knowing Shepard (i.e. God, Higher Power, or in this case more aptly put an Artificial Authority to heed in all things) in order to wag / herd the tail of the dog / sheep and lead the flock of humanity astray from truth.

De Niro does a great job of playing the mystery G man / handler who never reveals his true loyalties or relation to the government and Dustin Hoffman gives a stellar performance on what appears to be a hinting portrayal of Hollywood psyche implantation / modification producers akin to Stanley Kubrick.

This is very much more pertinent in this day in age regarding the War on Drugs, Terrorism, and Dis-ease like Covid 19. If you ever wanted a peak behind the political world curtain with eyes wide open, this a great film to get an idea on how some of the middle man NWO operations function on a governmental level towards creating global perceptions, judgements and responses to fake / manufactured crisises (also known in today's jargon as false flag operations).

Enjoy and fear not, those of you who see this film and/or read this review with deep concern and understanding, for the light of the Holy Spirit is with you and there is nothing in the world's playbook of fear which can deprive you of your most precious divine gift. Love and blessings be with you!
