About Walt Browning
Walt was born in 1958 in Northeast Ohio. An avid athlete in High School, he went on to play college rugby and golf, competing against future golf professionals John Cook and Paul Azinger. He is a doctor and continues to practice in Central Florida where he started his career almost 30 years ago.
In 2014, personal friend and successful author Angery American encouraged him to try his hand at writing. This led to his first book, the highly rated "The Book of Frank: ISIS and the Archangel Platoon." With his first novelunder his belt, the two authors put their talent together, resulting in the "Charlie's Requiem" series. A young drug rep is caught in Orlando when an EMP destroys the country's electric grid. She has to learn to survive the devastation as the time-line parallels Angery American's "Going Home" world. The first book in the series topped the charts for several weeks. He also joined forces with another NY Times best selling author with his Amazon number one rated "Extinction Survival" series, expanding the dystopian world of author Nicholas Smith.
With three number one Amazon books so far, the future looks bright. Walt continues to write, with planned novels in the medical mystery/action genre along with further work in the dystopian/science fiction genre. You can contact Walt on his website: www.waltbrowning.com.

Can Charlie and her group learn to survive, or will the lack of knowledge become their fatal flaw?
Dwindling food supplies and the daily risks of capture are taking its toll. Mistakes are fatal, and the exhaustion that comes with living under constant danger is wearing them down.
Betrayal, pain and death are the norm. Who can they turn to when everyone is the enemy? Charlie’s world is about to change, and decisions that she and the other’s make will lead to life or condemn them to a quick and merciless death.
Combatting a tyrannical government seemed beyond sane, but every journey starts with just one step. For Charlie and her group, that time had come. Retribution was to be meted out and with the help of a growing Resistance, reclaiming the country seemed more plausible by the day.
Charlie’s Requiem: Retribution is about many things. It is about revenge and it is about loyalty. But mostly, it is about hope. Because if just a few good people are willing to put it all on the line, then anything is possible. The future is what you make it and Charlie was going to shape it, one bullet at a time.
A Going Home Novella based on the best-selling series by A. American, Charlie and her two companions must find a way out of the big city, or die trying.
Retired SEAL John Eric Carver and his war dog Shrek are part of a small group of survivors in a world where a man-made virus has ravished the planet. Isolated at a Boy Scout camp in the mountains outside of San Diego, the small cadre of warriors have kept their isolated community safe. But supplies are running out, and a team is put together to venture into the abandoned cities.
As they leave their sanctuary, they find the virus continues to mutate. Carver and Shrek soon confront an intelligent and powerful new Alpha Variant—a beast that is unlike any other that they’ve encountered. Not long into the trek, they find they are not the hunters, but the hunted.
Has the EX-SEAL war dog team met their match, or will they defeat this new evil and keep their community safe?
John Eric Carver and Shrek have fought their way through a viral apocalypse and into the aftermath. Working with fifty other survivors in the remote mountains outside of San Diego, they have created a community safe from the monsters called Variants. But outside their small haven, giant packs of the beasts roam the cities in search of humans to feed their insatiable appetite.
On a supply run, Carver and Shrek encounter several of these packs before they make a startling discovery. Some of the Variants are mutating from the release of radiation on a naval vessel, transforming the crew into abominations that can fly. Carver knows these new mutations threaten their home and survivors around the world.
Once again, the retired war dog team heads out to fight what they fear the most to protect the lives of those they love. But this time the enemy is more cunning and evil than ever before. It will take more than bullets to stop these beasts.
John Eric Carver and Shrek, a retired SEAL war dog team, have created a safe haven in the high mountain desert. The remote former Boy Scout Camp seems perfect, with enough water and stored food to last years. Everything is in place to ride out the viral storm that is consuming the world.
Off the California coast, an aircraft carrier strike group carrying nearly fifteen thousand souls seeks refuge. There is talk of moving to an isolated island, untouched by the infected. That changes when they are given new orders to retake Los Angeles from the Variant hordes.
Survival will require courage and commitment. But most of all, it will demand sacrifice. Both groups thought they had escaped the apocalypse, but they are about to find out how wrong they are.

― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
ISIS captured a town in Iraq, trapping Catholic children and their caregiving nuns. Western governments were unable or unwilling to help. The children’s enslavement or death was certain unless Frank and a band of ex-military warriors could bring them back.
Frank Martel, an ex-Marine, had finished his first year as a Jesuit novitiate. His path to the church was littered with doubt, anger and a failed relationship. Maggie and Frank were inseparable at first, but his loss of passion caused her to leave. Now, Maggie and Frank are once again thrown together as they attempt to rescue the helpless children that had been left behind.
Frank’s bloodline traced back 1300 years. Charles Martel had successfully stopped the Islamic Caliphate at the battle of Tours in 732. Would Frank be able to follow in Charles’ footsteps and stop the Caliphate once again?
Hired by a private Catholic organization, Frank, Maggie and the Archangel Platoon take on the task of saving the innocent while struggling with their own past.
The future isn’t always clear, even if the cause is just.
