Kieron Gillen is a British writer, journalist and critic best known for his work in comics and his previous work in entertainment journalism.
Gillen's first graphic novel, PHONOGRAM (with artist/co-creator Jamie McKelvie), was published through IMAGE COMICS in 2006. Since then he's found work writing for MARVEL, AVATAR, BOOM, TOKYOPOP, DYNAMITE and more that don't spring to mind right now.
At Marvel, he's written runs on books including THE UNCANNY X-MEN, THOR, YOUNG AVENGERS, IRON MAN, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, STAR WARS, DOCTOR APHRA and DARTH VADER.
Books he's created included UBER, MERCURY HEAT and THREE, but is best known for the ongoing gods-as-popstar series with long time collaborators Jamie McKelvie and Matt Wilson THE WICKED + THE DIVINE launched to both huge critical and commercial success in 2014. It will conclude in 2019.
He is working on other things.
In his previous life as a critic, his work has appeared in WIRED, THE GUARDIAN, PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE UK, PC GAMER, EDGE and far too many others to count. In 2007 he was one of the founders of ROCKPAPERSHOTGUN.COM, what is now the world's premier PC-centric games blog.
He once played records for DMC to rap over.

This is for mature readers! For those who are already initiated, you find lots of the violent deaths that you would come to expect from 40K. For the unfamiliar, know this: "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war."
Its cost seems on par with other bound compendium I've seen, it contains 5 newsstand size comics bound in one softcover.
The art quality in my opinion is good, illustrating the violence if 40K battles, with the cool setting and aesthetic of Space Marines, Mechanicus, and Chaos.
The story though, may leave a bad taste in Calgar fans mouths. You'll know exactly what I mean.
Still, I enjoyed it, whether it's Canon or not.

In Throne’s name this is a good one!

The drawing craftsmanship is there but the scenery and the protagonists are done boring.
The story was at one point suprising when the story explained you who callgar is and why it is unnecessary to know. But the rest was some kind of boredom.
At all this marvel Version of 40K is just so mainstream and so boring. The Warhammer Monthly comics had much more of the 40K feel like I personally think about it.
What started with Boom Comics and is now in Marvel isn't much what I think 40K should be.

enfin je ne parlerais pas de l'envoi : un mot CATASTROPHIQUE;
